Class of 2015!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
i have a bizarre process by which my subconscious knows exactly how long something will take if i cram hardcore on it, and prevents me from working properly on the task until that much time remains to the deadline.

Work expands so as to fill the time available for its completion. - Parkinson's Law

Also, this is me officially joining the Class of 2015!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thread. Yay.

My roommate's dog is wiggin out right now... does this mean an earthquake is coming? Anybody else's dog acting weird? I know we have lots of dog owners in this thread...

Yeah, mine is....but it seems like a normal amount of wiggin' since she hasn't seen me all day.

Welcome Relic!

Nice to see you again, trogdor.

my town and all the surrounding towns are sold out of iodine. fml.

No offense, but you make the most random posts - just for the sake of posting. I'm still waiting for you to say, "I love lamp." What's the dealio?

Good luck Shanks! I hope everything is going well for you today 🙂

Thank you!

I think it went ok. I didn't sleep well at all last night, maybe got 30min of sleep. Just laid there all night. So, I was a little fatigued at the end of the interview (went about 60-75 minutes). Very basic interview. Not as "conversational" as the adcom told us it would be, so I didn't feel my personality came out, but I think it was OK. Not my strongest interview, but who knows about these things. Anatomy lab was cool though.

So, this will be my one-and-only post in this thread, as I will be applying next year. I lurk in here because you guys are hilarious, and I feel some kinship to you because a lot of us are older...don't even get me started on how unreliable the nontrad forum is for my entertainment needs.

the nontrad forum is definitely too srsly

I kinda get tired of the same question asked differently every other post. "attorney to med student?", engineer to doctor? or business school to med school? I know everyone's circumstances are a little different, but the search function really does help. :bang:

Thank you!

shanks, i don't know if this arsenal/sunderland game is live or not, but it's pretty ridiculous all the saves that have been made.

Lol. I don't think there's a game today. If its the game from a week or so ago, then yes, it was maddening lol. It was just one of those days, and annoying too, because they would be even on points with Man U with one less game played than Man U for the Premier League table (so essentially first place would be there's to lose or whoever wins Man U-Arsenal at the Emirates next month).

Yeah, rough two weeks for Gunners: lose the Carling Cup final to a potentially relegated Birmingham, lose in ridiculous typical European refereeing fashion and Spanish players diving every time the wind blew against Barcelona to get knocked out of the Champion's League, and then get knocked out of the FA Cup by Man U after dominating possession and having more than twice as many shots on goal as Man U. All of these games immediately following their victory over Barcelona at home. Oh to be a Gooner.

Nothing in this paragraph made any sense to me

My dog is pretty much always acting weird.

Also, my cat has turned into a gopher/rat/mouse/lizzard-catching machine. I had two lovely presents waiting for me outside my door when I got home. Yay.

Congrats Relic!

3rd waitlist this week. Starting to regret applying out of CO instead of NV, given CO WL'd me... NV would have boosted my "diversity" factor. The waiting is painful.

Grrr, sorry about that. Waitlists suck.

And good job Shanks! I hope you hear some good news whenever it is you'll hear back!

haha that's a great video.

maddening, perhaps. entertaining, definitely.

Penn med acceptances went out at 3pm today. There was a problem with the server but it should be up and running now. Congrats to everyone who was accepted and I hope to see you at penn preview

That sucks bro, but I'm sure you will end up somewhere awesome. I bet some of those waitlists turn to acceptances in the next couple of months too. Regardless, you already have two great options in front of you, and you will land somewhere that will make the rest of us jealous. Keep your chin up, and your game tight.

Are you a Gunner? If so, you have earned a lifetime of respect from me.

LOL! Man I wish I could give Longshanks some rep for that video!

Even though I've played for most of my life, aside from the World Cup, I just can't stand to watch any more.

I'm settled in for anywhere from a one to ten week wait (average seems to be four weeks) for a decision from my latest interview.

I hate waiting.

Waiting sucks. My top 3 schools at which I am still under consideration all have very big waitlists. At this point I'm happy that I have a cheap IS option and a solid mid-tier along with a couple of other choices. I have accepted the fact that I will more likely than not not hear from any of my top choices*, and that has made me more relaxed. I think in a week or so, you'll feel the same way.

*I'll still update them if I have anything significant to tell them, and tell my top choice how much I love them, but I still won't expect much.

*Sigh* I'm gonna regret this but because I love you guys and I'm bored........

NEXT IMAGE POSTED IN THIS THREAD WILL BECOME MY NEW AVATAR! :scared:

LOL! I missed some funny crap last night. I hate getting tired so early. I was asleep before 11.

On a related note, maternity pants are incredibly comfortable. I only bought one pair with Chicklet and I was missing out, I think.

there's nothing at all random about wanting to take iodine pillzzz when the world is about to go apocolyptic with a nuclear meltdown. that stuffs no good, man! 😕

and I'm pretty sure we're all here just for the sake of posting. 😉

I think thyroid cancer is one of the least of your worries if there was a nuclear catastrophe. Infection, hemolytic anemia, and lack of edible food are more pressing concerns with much quicker effects than thyroid cancer developing decades later.

pAn!c!!!!

I'm doing three brackets for MM this year...having difficulties completing one.

Fourteen hours of sleep makes Cougs a happy girl.

Hey Beast....I hear you have some new interests. Would you like to talk about them?🙂

Geeks....I think I want to wear maternity pants every day.
