I'm late to the game, but Sun this is so true. Muff and Protag's MO was so well known, and yet people would wander aimlessly into the the trap.

I guess I give people the benefit of a doubt even on the internets. But I look back on that muffion thread about the party and all I can do is facepalm at how I fell for that one.

It was my favorite school when I first interviewed, but as time went on I started to like it less and less, but I never wanted to actually withdraw just in case the decided to stroke my ego and accept me. I'm seriously having the exact same debate about withdrawing from the school that WLed me. It was my favorite going into this process, and I have stayed on it because I want to see if I can go 3 for 3 on my interviews, but I also haven't really made any effort to come off the WL. And ditto on the "you should have jumped on this when you had the chance!" 👍

i forget if it was from the uBuff or the UVA test, but my very top match was occupational/environmental med, followed by every type of surgery haha.
 
I got peds in one of those tests, which is funny because I don't have any skills with kids (IMO).

I'm glad you find me entertaining... although I'm not sure if you were laughing with me or at me.

I took the UVA test and it said my #1 was neurosurgery. Now I shall see what Buffalo deems me fit for.
Edit: Buffalo says gastroenterology, colon and rectal surgery, then otolaryngology are my top 3. Too bad 2 of those involve dealing with a lot of poopoo.

I withdrew from there as well last week. I should have done it sooner, but I'm lazy. (I couldn't in good faith go through the additional steps they want you to do in order to be seriously considered from the "waitlist," so I guess I was effectively silently rejecting them. 😉)

It's ok cliff....it isn't his fault. I feel bad for him. He's in a poop storm. Apparently the guy had not been doing well for awhile; he hadn't graded any papers all semester and they found a stack of a couple of hundred in his office, and my friend now needs to go give a speech in his stead in a week that he is absolutely not prepared for.

We may meet up tonight or tomorrow but I am seriously doubting it.


On the upside....had an AMAZING lobster lunch. Male Bostonian servers are so good at fluffing up diners. I quite enjoy my mealtime flirts.
 
Haha cougs I was sitting in a restaurant yesterday and saw the marathon results on ESPN and thought of you!!

Then I proceeded to pull out my graphing calculator iphone app to calculate the average mile for the winner. It's around 4:40 in case you guys were wondering 😎

EDIT: Btw, it feels grrrrrrreat to be back. I was getting serious separation anxiety from this thread.

I've done both of these before, and I always seem to get different results. We'll see what I get this time...

Edit: PM&R is my first for the Buffalo test. Woohoo! Occupational med is first for the other one. Hmm. FM, rheumatology, and neurology rank high on both of them as well.

(That reminds me, one of my professors in undergrad didn't show up to lecture one day. We were all waiting in the classroom for a while, ranting about how inconsiderate she was, and eventually everyone left. Well, we get an email from the department chair later that day saying that the professor had a stroke and didn't make it. 😱 I felt so incredible horrible for bashing her for not showing up to class.)

Yeah, I even wrote them some "pick me! pick me!" letters in the beginning. (At least one of which the office lost.) But after a while I was really struggling to find a good reason why I wanted to go there, so that was that.

Ok, in case anyone was wondering, having your friend's little sister who's in beauty school dye your hair is NOT a good idea!!!!!!!! I went from pretty blonde to weird dull-reddish-brownish-blonde. Ugh.

Oh well, I have an appointment with my regular hair lady for Thursday afternoon to fix it. But until then I get to rock this awesome shade. How funny that I wanted to save some $$$ and let the girl do it, but now I'm probably gonna spend the same amount (or more) anyway. C'est la vie, lesson DEFINITELY learned.

Edit: And congrats on the acceptance Rocher! Sorry to steal your thunder with my crazy hair drama. 😳

My hairdresser would yell at me for a good 15 minutes if I ever tried to do something like that :laugh: I hope your normal hair lady is nicer than mine!

Oh and back to my online stats class question from a while ago- I looked up the San Diego City College ones you guys had mentioned and due to "state budget cuts" they only enroll full-time students for summer school. Sadness. Anybody know of other online options? Preferably schools that are on the semester system which can finish summer school classes by early July.

I know, I know, I can't believe I did it. She'll probably yell at me too! (I've been friends with her daughter since preschool actually, and she used to give me chores when I'd go over to their house in high school so I'm sure she'll have no problems yelling at me like my own mother.)
