Crazy school dream #5 last night. I got an email from U Colorado saying "We heard that you bad mouthed us on SDN (Apparently I said that they were slow at answering emails - in the dream, not IRL). You have therefore taken yourself out of the running. I hope you learned your lesson". And I'm reading this thinking, How do they know who I am? And the next line of the email is, of course "If you're wondering how we know who you are.....we know everything".


I woke up to 22 emails in my inbox. None of them were from schools.

Every morning.....

That's my life story now until committee letter is sent, which I hope is soon since my secondaries are in and I finished everything on my end for the committee.
 
After feeling down about not hearing anything back yet, the completion of the USC secondary has renewed me. Only 2 more to go!!!

And yes, lots of new ppl. Hi! 🙂

A belated congrats to those with interviews!! 😀

Does anyone else here find the "your secondary application is complete" emails irritating? Yeah you got all my stuff, you took my money 2 weeks ago 🙁

Oh, and to the new, "better looking" 2015ers... join the Facebook group so we can do an accurate comparison.

Honestly, I like to know my application is complete, so I do like those emails..just now as of late when I'm WAITING for emails that are a bit "more definitive" and "forward-looking". I don't want to jinx myself by outright asking for interviews...oh wait...lol
 
you know what annoys me more than it should? the fact that nip tuck blatently is wrong and inconsistant with how far along julia was in school and the track to becoming a doctor. one minute she did better than sean on the mcat, the next she dropped out of med school to become a mommy, the next she took one year of pre med, the next she dropped out of med school twice (yet when she goes to school she's taking intro bio)??!?!?

I feel like one of the lower end SDN members... as in my GPA and MCAT score isn't freaking near perfect.

AND YET! 😱 I already got 2 interview invites!! (paartttyyyyy)

now to just ace those interviews.

Congratulations! That gives me hope. I'm in a similar situation, though I'm still waiting on my MCAT score (Aug 31). You're not low-end. As has been proven time and again, GPA and MCAT aren't everything. Just go into those interviews with confidence and you'll do great!

Thanks! As a re-applicant who didn't get any interviews last time.. I def feel like an underdog. Good luck on getting interviews and spleenic - good luck with your MCAT results. I'm sure you did GREAT!

Haha it was pretty great. Didn't miss any important emails sadly. Yes, everyone loves cupcakes. I'm convinced I got my promotion because of them.
 
I went to the Men's Warehouse tonight... and damn, I've got expensive taste! But I got an awesome double vented, two button, dark grey/charcoal pronto-oumo italian suit. Picked out a white shirt, black belt, and captoe shoes. My tie is pretty nice, and I think conservative enough (I hope). If they reject me, at least I'll look good! 🙂
