Haha...this is my first friday staying in for quite some time, but that's also because I have to be up early tomorrow morning....and because I spent last night at a bar lol....as you can probably see in an earlier post from when I got home at like 3:30.

Really? I guess you've become used to eating early...because in my family (I live at home), we eat anytime between 6-7..depends on when my mom gets home from work..so 5pm is definitely on the early side for me.

For the record, he was straight (that part kinda made me question it...but my girl-friends and I just laughed it off as like a wtf moment) and Australian...and I can't think of a crazy Aussie last name right now...otherwise I'd give him a cool name like you did for me haha.

Be careful, spots fill up fast... you don't want to interview in April if you can in September.

1. Is it still donating if you get compensated at or higher than market value?

2. Where can I get in on this? I have a whole bunch of blood that's just sitting in my blood vessels, not doing anything

I've only donated blood once. I kind of lost the drive when I found out I'm AB+. I know they can clean out the reactive factors for certain purposes, but still... Laziness prevails.

haha it's through the Scripps Research Institute. They use healthy blood donors for various research projects. Apparently they also supply several biotech companies too. They take 500 ml for $100 every other month 👍

I'm not sure if every city has something like this, but here in san diego it is called TSRI "Normal Blood Donor Service." It is AWESOME!
 
i'm O+ and they call me all the time. i've donated twice but its really not the most comfortable feeling in the world. at the end when the bag fills the pressure on my veins hurts, just take the needle out already!
