👍 TI actually dresses very well IMO. I like his suit in this video. Although, I'm not sure what color it is exactly. Is "Camel" a color?

I knowwww.

I think '14 is more postier than we are because they ARE in school. They have no lives😉 We still can pretend like we have them.

I saw The Switch and Going The Distance tonight. I also had sweet potato fries. I am regretting two out of three of those choices just a bit.

I'm going to guess that the two movies were regrettable, based on your self-professed love of food.

Watched 'em slice up a baseball sized abscess today. Was fine most of the time till they started suctioning all this partially coagulated blood off the dude and the sterile field. Didn't bother me as much, but still did, when they removed some nasty lookin inflamed tissue and suctioned inside. And by bother, I mean made me a little queasy (not really in a nauseous way).

(meant this as a reply to the previous topic)

Yea that sounds disgusting. I watched a surgery where they kept cauterizing this girl's flesh and it smelled like burned hamburgers every time they did it, part of me wanted to vomit, another part was kind of hungry.

I don't think I'm going to do surgery because it doesn't seem as intellectually challenging, and the life-style would probably prevent me from fulfilling a lot of my other life-goals.

I didn't think I wanted to do surgery because of the relatively lower amount of patient interaction. But then it was SO COOL so now I am conflicted...plus, I dont want my gift for tying sutures to go to waste 😉

What does "repeating on me" mean? I'm almost scared to ask but I know you're a lady

Sure...😛

I think repeating on me means she's going to vomit, which if you're a mother bird is perfectly normal.

Looks like I'm alone once again...damn my sleep schedule, I'm on Shanghai time.

I can't stand long, boring holiday weekends. At least a (sdn virtual) friend of mine got a great interview invite!

Haha, this is exactly my experience with surgery, except for the hungry part then made me feel a little like Hannibal Lecter.

Oh, good, she can use the regurgitated food to feed the baby otter we both want to get

Er....

Had an interview on Friday, think it went well. Now about a week until the next one, but it's back-to-back with another school... should be a funfest.

Seems like everyone's consumed with real lives right now.

I'm enjoying the interview part, it's the flying and screwing up my body cycles that messes with me. I, too, have an interview in about a week, then another 2 weeks later. Lots of cross-country flights. (Here-> pitt last week, here-> cleveland next week, here-> atlanta after that.. wtf cali give me some love so I don't have to keep doing 10 hour flying days!)

Hahahah it's like....when you burp and you can taste it.

I think I just lost my "lady" status.

I'm going to guess that Going The Distance was better than The Switch. Movies with two directors are never really good.

Edit: Josh Gordon and Will Speck co-directed Blades of Glory which WAS good. Now I don't know what to think.

I liked this one a lot, haven't seen taken though.

Hands down, Taken is the best movie on that list. Law Abiding citizen was better than average, and I liked it, but Liam Neeson in Taken was a total bad ass (comparable to Jason Bourne). Great movie. I agree that riteous kill was a let down.

btw, I went and saw the American the other night. Save your money, it was a crap fest. George Clooney was not his charismatic self, the only redeeming part of the movie was the hot italian prostitute he hooks up with. However, you can find those pics on the net, and it is definitely not worth sitting through the movie to see.

haha anyone seen Takers in theaters? the trailer looks good but I can't figure out what to make of it...

taken is awesome. i agree with rhino on the Bourne comparison.

Righteous Kill and Law Abiding Citizen were pretty crappy, Taken is pretty good.

LAC is ridiculously illogical. The beginning is somewhat entertaining, at least, but the movie leaves you thinking "that was stupid." in the end.

Does this clear up your confusion? Who wouldn't want one of these?

They're illegal to own as pets, but we'll figure something out 👍

Haha, because in that statement the otters were totally the strange part.

Though otters are pretty darn cute.

Taken >>>>> Law Abiding

I saw Takers this afternoon. There was basically a lot of action, simple dialogue & a simple plot...good ingredients for a movie that'll provide that temporary "escape." You also got T.I., Idris Elba, Paul Walker, Jay Hernandez, Hayden Christensen...there was a lot of eye candy in this movie! (Which was enough for me to enjoy it😍) In conclusion: The ladies will definitely love it & the gents? Hmmm..they should probably watch the Expendables instead.

Speaking of T.I. Does life imitate art or is it the other way around with this guy?!

Arrested again?!!

Wrong....The Switch was the good one.

I am back in love with Jason Batemen, too. Every time I think I am over my crush on him, it comes back. This has been going on for about 25 years.

I am packing for the trip tomorrow!!! So scared. So glad that Sun will be there to comfort me and discuss otters.

Sun, you will be happy to know that while shopping in the grocery store today with cute boys, I showed them otter pictures.

I think they think I'm nuts. But that's ok....because I am.

lol cmon Rhinoooo, age is just a number!!!

Hey, you don't have to convince ME. If you have enough game to convince HER, then you are correct: age is just a number. 👍

been there done that 😉

...lets see what i can make of what's left of this labor day weekend.

peace out guys

btw baller, I was at Macy's yesterday, and suits/shirts/ties are all 40% off. The guy ahead of me in line got 2 suits and a shirt for $285! Nice stuff too.

i'm gonna check out men's wearhouse tomorrow, but i'm guessing they have probably been stripped of the good stuff by now.

hey! anyone here? anyone see football this weekend? 🙂 I'm pumped for the Boise State game tomorrow

I really wish I had waited and taken advantage of the sales this week. It would have saved me a lot of money. Oh well, my first interview is next friday, so it would have been cutting it close anyway.

Yep, I watched Notre Dame vs Purdue and TCU vs Oregon St.

I plan to bbq tomorrow and watch Boise 🙂

Your BF is lucky. My gf likes pro football which is awesome, but I can't get her excited to watch random college games... yet.

I'm rooting for Boise State. Gotta support the west(ish) coast.

I prefer college sports to pro sports actually. It's before the athletes get huge contracts and endorsements and stuff and before they lose their passion and competitive spirit. Plus you get awesome cinderella stories sometimes. Love it. Don't currently have a BF but liking sports is definitely a requirement...not like that's difficult to find.

I felt so bad for Oregon State (even though I'm obligated from my school affiliation to hate them with every fiber of my being) because they played really well. Didn't get to see the game but it was on the radio in the stockroom at work. And I'm sad Notre Dame won. Just because it's Notre Dame.

i understand, as i am rooting for va tech because i have to root for the acc (unless its carolina, ew).

A cute girl going to med school that likes football sounds like a catch to me 😉.

I'm happy that TCU won. The schools like TCU and Boise from the mountain west have to go undefeated in order to get any respect. I think they are the true underdog stories of 2010 (and the last couple of years).

My mom, aunt, uncle, brother, and sister-in-law all went to Notre Dame. So I kinda grew up watching them. However, it didn't stop me from applying to USC and Ohio State 😀. My undergrad doesn't have a football team, so if my med school has one, they will be my new favorite college team haha.
