I gotta say... getting back into my MMO has been a fabulous distraction for the waiting game that is the medical school application process.

Viva Pinata and Bioshock 2.

I decided to go back and play Bioshock 2 again and get the 4 or so achievements that I was lax on the first time; so I'm playing through on max difficulty, without using vita chambers, making sure I get every audio diary and finding all 14 power to the people stations. I think I need to max out the research tracks too but I don't know if that one is going to happen; we'll see. That is much easier to do on an easier difficulty when you can afford to waste plasmid slots on research tools.

Viva Pinata just calms me down🙂

I don't play Bioshock. My xbox went red and is collecting dust. I play Dragon Age on the pc and I'm tooling around with FFXIV beta.
 
HAD to pop in on the videogame discussion. My games of choice at the mo': Dragon Age and Red Dead Redemption....but I've been wanting to re-start Oblivion.


Also, the boat/ship analogy above is making me lolzors and feel better about my no emails in weeks situation. 😀

I feel like every morning in my inbox is a fail Christmas. 🙁

I have Oblivion but could never get into it.

are we thumbs down on colored nail polish for interviews? For some reason I want to do a color this week. Like a dark maroon. Nothing psycho like green or anything. And my nails are short and neat.
 
oblivion is a great game.. (nerd part of me runs back into closet)
so one of my top choices gave me choice of interview, which i placed on thursday.. 2 of my other top choices just gave me non-negotiable dates on that friday and following monday. w.t.f. 👎
the only way i get through this is if i learn george clooney's airport game, next weekend is gonna suck horrendously for me

black. I'm cranky. If I weren't cranky...maybe...umm...no idea. The dark maroon you were thinking about sounds like it would be great with the dark gray which is probably what you will wear, right? go with your instincts. may the force be with you, etc.
 
fingers or toes? it makes a big difference.


i just painted my toes a gold/bronze color for fall.
 
if its your fingers, I'd go with something a little more neutral. Like OPIs Campaign on Opening Night. love that color.

I REALLY need to play through Dragon Age now that Geekhusband finished it. Maybe one day I'll finish Oblivion, too.

My main time-waster is City of Heroes, though.

Yeah a pale pink (Mixture of Bubble Bath and Hawaiian Orchid) is my default, but I was feeling spunky this week🙂

Axxium is awesome.....it is as strong as gel, goes on like polish, won't chip, and makes a flawless manicure for about 2 weeks (for most people). I know some people that can pull of 3. I max out at about 10 days...nice nails, yoga, and 45 pound plates don't mix. But in those 10 days they look perfect.

Aw...Cougs, i missed you too. And congrats on all of your invites (I've been secretly stalking the secondary threads....)!!!! 😀

And sorry Baller, I know the feeling. And also the feeling of schools ignoring you, EVEN THOUGH you submitted their secondary the first day it came out. And instead, they're handing invites like lottery tickets to ppl who submitted their stuffs like yesterday. And no complete email for me. 🙁 OKAY--> Rant over. I though an interview was supposed to make me satisfied...instead, it has made me a greedy beast. I want MOAR.

I feel like baking a cake.
 
I had my first interview this past weekend, and it went well. Except the part where I get out of my car and look at my shoulder... guess what? Yep, it was bird poo 😡... 😳... :laugh:. Luckily it was only a very tiny amount and I cleaned it up to the point it was not visible at all. Dropped that shirt off at the dry cleaner today.
 
I'm jealous of Baller's retail therapy. I just got the nerve to look at my credit card bill. Both my dog and I went to our respective doctors in the past month, and good health doesn't come cheap to any species 😡

Also, isn't that show hosted by Guy Fieri? I hate that guy. Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives is borderline because that's a fun idea but the bleached spiky hair and arm bands get to me after a while.

Our coping mechanisms are strikingly similar.

Right now I'm eating Indian food while I process all the random stuff that happened today.

haha it was a lemon cooler cake of some kind....surprisingly good considering i don't really like lemon cakes

i bought a casual vest, a crisp white dress shirt, and a new steam iron


and guy fieri should stick to the food channel, but i love some of those challenges haha I'm inclined to try some of them
 
I went to one of Guy's restaurants right after he won the Food Network thing....it was pretty good. HORRIBLE food for you, but tasty.

I am eating gelato. Which is dumb.....because I'm lactose intolerant. But it is making me feel better. I have also just finished a 4 hour cleaning binge, so I feel like I deserve it.


Robo, thank you! I am actually really shocked at how well it is going. I feel really lucky to have 8 invites. But like you said....you just want more. And i just want to KNOW, you know? Even if it is a rejection. I hate all of the pink on my spread sheet (pink is for in limbo, green is for invite and gray is for rejection). Even though I am dreading hearing from the bad interview from last week, at least then I can stop obsessing over it. But I am hoping that I will not have to do this again next year and that is all I can really hope for🙂


Duckie....switching over to Lifetime now. I was watching Melissa and Joey episodes On Demand. This will be way better. I wishing I had gotten some seasons from Netflix and ripped them and put them on my iPod for my trip. Life is so much better with HIMYM.
