i read 80% of it probably 15 months ago. it's good in the begining and then they start throwing around a bunch numbers and stats and i didnt see the point in finishing it. the history in the beginning was worthwhile though.

Hello everyone!

I'm currently flying back to LAX from JFK...and was bored ...kill me now please..****ing 6 hour flight. I won't arrive til like midnight LA time. Thank god there are good looking white men to keep my eyes company haha!

Anyway, both interviews went fairly well--the last interviewer was nice, but opinionated about my responses..(as in he would poke holes in it)...but in the end, he said that he thinks I will be successful at this school! 🙂

Hopefullly it's great news in the making.

no, i wouldnt mind just taking it (i know ohio state requires it anyways). but i heard they only offer it in the summer, unless i find it through Extension
 
on a side note, is anyone familiar with the public transportation in NYC!?!?

im so lost with this trying to figure everything out lol. if thers anyone out there... HELP!!!

Just got back yesterday from my first interview!! I think it went OK giving it was my first but I REALLY loved the school!!!

It was also nice to come home to two interview invites!! 😀
Not so nice to come home to a big, fat R from one of my top choices 🙁

Congrats to everyone else who've recently been invited!!!

Sorry to hear about the R's.. it's still early in the game!
 
I had an awesome interview yesterday. I am so happy that the school paired me up with interviewers that had similar experiences/interests as me. Which they tried to do for everybody. I really hope that happens at every school.

On another note, I go start my fall classes tomorrow 😱

negative, they no longer require anatomy. They changed it to recommended.

Does anyone ever get offended by Google advertisements, the ones that are targeted to you based on your internet activity?

I keep getting an ad for thyroid treatment programs... I wish I could tell the algorithm that I'm not in fact a fatty.

Facebook does this too... always shows me engagement ring ads. When my town was on fire last year, tons of my Facebook ads were for firefighter training programs. It's like wtf, way to show some sympathy? A raging inferno was a half mile up my street.

I broke down and bought a new phone battery today.... $40...😡
 
Sucks about the phone battery. I got stuck with a surprise $550 vet bill because my pet insurance denied the claim. Pet insurance reform is what America REALLY needs 😛

I know that none of us are really in a good place to have unexpected expenses pop up after we dropped so much $ on apps and interviews.

Sigh... I need a new hobby. Or I need to get the TV in my room fixed. I just need anything that will distract me from how empty my inbox is.

Maybe I'll teach my puppy to growl whenever I say a name of a med school that has rejected me.

My inbox has been lame too. After the flood of secondaries and trickle of interviews it seems that things have either dried up or turned into a slow drip.

It's more the ads that come out of nowhere, like the thyroid treatment thing, that weird me out. Plus Facebook ads just pull info from your profile. 🙁

I had such a mind-numbingly boring day. I hope tomorrow brings some excitement. (or maybe an interview invite?) :idea:

I noticed it on their website a couple months ago. Apparently they abandoned that requirement early on.
