yeah, well at this one, it seemed like no one does anything publishable other than light behavioral/epidemiology stuff, was the impression I got from the staff and students I talked with.

I feel the same if I have 1 drink or 10.....so I don't drink unless I'm going to have 10😉 Which is almost never.

this has happened to me too. it doesn't make any sense. I thought college was supposed to prepare our livers for the rest of our lives?

Today is weird.

My friend started off a conversation with "So, the other day, I was thinking about your sex appeal...."
WTF? People sit around and ponder the nuances of my sex appeal?

The boy at the gym who I think is cute talked to me today and made murmurings about how he is not very smart. I hate that conversation. I have had it way too many times.

I got a random text from someone who saw me rap last night and thought I got robbed.

I have heartburn. And I NEVER have heartburn.

Do any of you know if you can start medical school at Florida State University in January?
Can someone get in in without even applying?


*friend of my moms claims her daughter did so well in the MCAT she is starting in Jan without having to apply. Now I am getting all the looks of "why didn't u do good enough to get in without applying"

Any info appreciated

No, but I'm a single parent, go to school full time, work 25+ hours a week, and put in 15 hours a week in a research lab. There is not a caffeine product I haven't tried, and rockstar is by far the best 😀

to the makers of rockstar: if you would like to pay me to be your spokesman, I am willing to credit your company with all of my medical school acceptances... Life time supply of rockstar must be included in any contract offer.

funny thing is, i actually read a story about that once. there was a random study done and people who took half an advil vs those who took a whole one reported the same signs of relief.

...not sure how accurate that is (lots of confounding factors, but still kinda interesting)...

I'm with you. I only drink coffee in times of need. I drink a big mug of green tea every morning though. I think all the antioxidants are to blame for me looking like I'm 16 even though I'm 23.

Anti-oxidants are overrated. Its all marketing and pseudo-science.
 
I need to stop reading outside of this thread. It makes me want to stab everyone in the neck. Med students and premeds need to stop hating on other health care providers.

I think every single factor is conspiring against me in the hopes that I will just not make it to my interview tomorrow. This travel just sucks. So, so, so hard.
