Ok... so on those acceptance forms... when there's a section to say you're declining... one of mine says "reason for declining:". What do I say? Do they want to know where I chose over them? Legit reasons (like location, tuition)? Leave it blank? :scared:

I feel like its an ex calling back asking "why didn't it work out? and what does it all mean?" (ref: see High Fidelity)

Shanks: some acceptable responses would be "It's not you, it's me," "I'm just not that into you," and "I've been cheating on you with another school."

Thanks everyone! I made the cupcakes and the icing from scratch and it really was hella easy. I will DEFINITELY be using them again, and piping the icing on like that was actually really easy. Huge props to Ducky for pointing me in the direction of that recipe.
 
Ugh that stupid questions thread is a ton of work 😱. Whenever you all get a chance, ask some common dumb questions there or answer one of the ones that's been asked pwease!!! I hope this will clean up pre-allo from junk threads a bit...

WOW. I can't believe people actually have the nerve to send harassing/accusatory PMs to me all because of that "applying MD & DO" thread. People on this forum are pathetic.

Yes they are. I sometimes wish SDN security would get hacked so everyone's screennames turned into their email addresses and adcoms could look them up. Sometimes, but not very often.

I just read that whole thread... how exhausting

Provided I have bisquick (sp?)--and I think I do--I will be making pancakes as well 🙂

BTW I am trying log cabin syrup and really liking it. I realized the other day while shopping that there are three or four levels of syrup. There's like random sugary generic stuff, then corn syrup and some maple flavor syrup, then there's stuff not made from corn syrup that has some maple syrup actually in it, and then there's pure maple, which is so freaking expensive. I was tempted to buy some pure but wasn't sure if it was really worth more per ounce than some nice booze...

Hey watch out when purchasing syrup, Grade A syrup is NOT the best. Its rated backwards with the later letters having more flavor. Go for Grade B.

I LOVE making pancakes but I don't like eating them🙁 It is a constant conundrum. I almost bought a huge griddle today on impulse at Target just to make pancakes with. But then I remembered that I don't like eating them. And I got sad.

I read that thread, and honestly I can't figure out what everyone is getting so worked up about. Sending nasty PMs is out of hand. Anonymity makes people absolutely crazy.

How do you not know what a velociraptor is? Didn't you watch Jurassic Park?! (Note: Velociraptors in Jurassic Park are closer to another kind of dinosaur than a real velociraptor).

Precious was... depressing, but thankfully there was only one incest/rape scene and it's early on.

That's always the best. There was free food at the hospital next door yesterday and no one called me here to let me know. I was le bummed. 🙁 Supposedly there were rockin' cinnamon rolls.

Does the place where you're working have something to do with a winged bovine (don't know if I got that right but you get the jist)? They always had the best food.

I love pancakes! Let's be friends.

I think maple syrup is worth the money, but I have a ginormous sweet tooth. And I've never been known to turn down pancakes with Log Cabin or Mrs. Butterworths.

I'm waiting for a certain school today too :scared::xf: but they don't update until 6pm EST. Been going crazy all week, not to mention I have a cold and feel like crap 🙁

I love Isoprop's response. That's generally how I feel about pre-allo lately. I like to come back and help here and there once we start school next year.. but jeez.. I think some people are beyond hope or just lack such fundamental critical thinking skills lol.

Maybe I'll go back to helping out in the MCAT section lol and just stay in this thread and school specific threads.
