This! My family took a Caribbean cruise when I was in high school. It was awesome: so many beautiful places, we went scuba diving at pretty much every port, all you can eat (and possibly drink) deliciousness. I'd highly recommend it. (Although it can definitely be pricey.)

Speaking of food and expensive things... my bf apparently made some sweet deal at work, and as a bonus his boss is picking up the tab for the two of us to go out to dinner at this fancy-pants restaurant. I love that my bf doing a good job at work = me getting a nice dinner. Fo free. Winning.

I'm not doing much right now---got back form work a few hours ago. Dead tired, since it starts at 07:00 in the morning (so I get up at 05:45!)...about to go out to dinner with the family. It's going to be a long weekend of friends and family, since my bday is on Monday! 🙂 (not doing anything for it though-other than going out to dinner with a few peeps on Sunday night-i'm mega lame like that!).

Other than "life", I'm just chilling because all the apartment stuff is falling together nicely...my parents are footing the bill for furnishing it and my living expenses, so that's a load off my chest because I didn't know how I'd be able to afford it otherwise! I can just start charging **** to the new credit card they gave me...muahahah! (I'm kidding--I'd only put important **** on there...like alcohol)
 
Why do people that aren't from LA and come here to visit REAALLLLY hate all the LA people??

Yea, I try not to generalize that way. I do however believe everything that was on The Hills to be a perfectly accurate depiction of LA 😀.

Yeah. I don't get that. At all. I can understand choosing to opt out of performing purely elective abortions on moral grounds, but NOT when the mother is hemorrhaging from a placental abruption with a nonviable pregnancy just because the fetus is still alive at the current time. Gross.

And Tiger, if you go into Ob/Gyn, you'll learn. I'm pretty sure all Ob/Gyn residents have to learn how to perform a D&C and D&E, which are often how they perform abortions, because they're the same procedure you'd do for a women with abnormal bleeding or a miscarriage that didn't pass all the products of conception naturally. I think they're allowed to decline performing them as a means to terminate an unwanted pregnancy, but you'll need to know the procedure anyway.

Yea, I don't understand saying no to the procedure when the mother's life is threatened. I don't think that I will be going into Ob/Gyn, only because I am not a big fan of babies (but I might change my mind - i'm still very undecided - my mom now wants me to go into urology because I mentioned it once or twice, haha).. but anyways, it seems like if I go into emergency medicine, I should be given the opportunity to learn how to do the procedure... as then someone in the ER could have helped the woman instead of send her up to the baby ward where nothing happened.

I went to buy some beer yesterday. (in my home state) The girl carded me, looked at it for a sec.. asked "what are you buying?" I said "beer..." After staring at it for a few more seconds, she says "it says you're not old enough."

All people born in 1989 are at least 21... I wanted to yell at her. But I didn't, I very nicely--trying to use my sincere tutor voice--said "do your addition again..." She had to ask another employee if I was 21, after giving me **** for "talking to her that way" and then came back and said "ok you can buy it".. no apology.


Also <<< That's my new car. I love it. But if I go to HSM, it's going to my dad instead =(.
