We went to Cancun for our HM but Punta was on our short list. I still would loooooooove to go there and plan to eventually. You'll get a lot more bang for your buck at Punta Cana (the Bahamas aren't bad either, price-wise) then than St. Lucia or Grand Cayman as beautiful as they are. Hell, they're all beautiful, you won't be disappointed wherever you go. 😀
What about a Caribbean cruise that takes you to multiple islands? That's my dream for next summer between M-1 and M-2.

Ooh, looks swank juliedi! 👍This! My family took a Caribbean cruise when I was in high school. It was awesome: so many beautiful places, we went scuba diving at pretty much every port, all you can eat (and possibly drink) deliciousness. I'd highly recommend it. (Although it can definitely be pricey.)
Speaking of food and expensive things... my bf apparently made some sweet deal at work, and as a bonus his boss is picking up the tab for the two of us to go out to dinner at this fancy-pants restaurant. I love that my bf doing a good job at work = me getting a nice dinner. Fo free. Winning.
Oh no beast! I hope they find your luggage soon. If not, find your closest H&M! Have a blast in Italia!Bongiorno from Italy! Lost luggage = dirty boxers 😡😡😡😡😡😡

Maubs, you're doing some awesome work in the AMCAS questions thread. Those 2016ers better realize how fortunate they are to have you in there.
Thanks! However, I'm fairly certain that my posts there could all be replaced by a link to the AMCAS instruction manual.
hi all...i'm soo glad to finally join this thread. hope you all have a great start too in a few weeks!😀
Cougs, you're up at an ungodly hour for a Saturday. If I didn't have to work, I would still be in bed!
No one likes to read! 😛PThanks! However, I'm fairly certain that my posts there could all be replaced by a link to the AMCAS instruction manual.

I read it. Wow.I don't know if anyone else has seen this article: http://www.salon.com/life/feature/2011/05/26/abortion_saved_my_life/index.html
I've never wanted to learn how to preform an abortion; I guess now I will (if given the opportunity)

I read it. Wow.
You have to wonder why they allow physicians to opt out when it's a matter of maternal safety...
Holy cow.I don't know if anyone else has seen this article: http://www.salon.com/life/feature/2011/05/26/abortion_saved_my_life/index.html

Yea, I don't understand saying no to the procedure when the mother's life is threatened. I don't think that I will be going into Ob/Gyn, only because I am not a big fan of babies (but I might change my mind - i'm still very undecided - my mom now wants me to go into urology because I mentioned it once or twice, haha).. but anyways, it seems like if I go into emergency medicine, I should be given the opportunity to learn how to do the procedure... as then someone in the ER could have helped the woman instead of send her up to the baby ward where nothing happened.Yeah. I don't get that. At all. I can understand choosing to opt out of performing purely elective abortions on moral grounds, but NOT when the mother is hemorrhaging from a placental abruption with a nonviable pregnancy just because the fetus is still alive at the current time. Gross.
And Tiger, if you go into Ob/Gyn, you'll learn. I'm pretty sure all Ob/Gyn residents have to learn how to perform a D&C and D&E, which are often how they perform abortions, because they're the same procedure you'd do for a women with abnormal bleeding or a miscarriage that didn't pass all the products of conception naturally. I think they're allowed to decline performing them as a means to terminate an unwanted pregnancy, but you'll need to know the procedure anyway.
