So I just got a Jury Summons from the county in which I'm currently residing...so lame because I'm leaving in 10 days lol! I will submit my disqualification request a day or two before I move so I can "legally" put I don't live where I do haha.

Like I said, just make things that look word-like and are high-scoring until the game accepts one of them.

I lucked out with "jato," whatever that means, for like 50 points against poor Kaushik.

I'll admit it... basically did this. Since I know names aren't acceptable, but was like screw it, and apparently joes is an acceptable plural form for coffee.

Haha Cliff played a word against me that was worth almost that many and then proceeded to crush me T_T

My new motto is "Do whatever you have to, up to and including playing words that are only worth 1 point, in order to never let your opponent have access to a triple-word box."

This totally just happened to me too! US District Court, too - gasp!

I have to wait ten days to request an excuse or deferral, apparently. Maybe they're hoping I'll forget in that span of time. Buuut, I'll be living out of county by the time they want me (July 25 through August) sooo, oh well.

I was on a jury in county criminal court (nothing as cool as a US district court) a couple of years ago. On the day I was scheduled to serve, I found myself hoping I'd actually be empaneled.

Lame, good luck getting out of it! Knock on wood, I haven't been called for jury duty ever yet... I know it'll happen eventually, but so far so good.

All this WWF talk is making me sad bc of how much I suck compared to all y'all! Sun will attest how bad I was sucking against him! Although in my defense, I had like 2 Q's and 3 I's or something at one point...

Hmm, that's the complete opposite of how it's done here. We have to do it within 10 days! lol...in either case, it's been done. I did it electronically and received an email saying my disqualification was approved!

Qi + TL/TW = Winning!

Qat is another good/cheap/high-point one.

Edit: Maybe it's just me, but whenever I need an I or an O or an A (you know, one of those common vowels), I get all the crazy X's and J's and other high-point letters that I can't use. When I want one of those high-point letters, I end up getting stuck with all vowels for like 3 turns...

Daisy beat up on me once when I got stuck with all constants (s, t, and r mainly). Not fun.
 
Oh, and we booked a nice little vacation down the shore with Chicklet in July. She's already excited about the beach. I just can't wait to see how much she enjoys it and relax with my hubby. :clap:

All this WWF talk is making me sad because I have a defunct Blackberry which hardly lasts a whole day without rebooting itself / dying somehow, and definitely with no capability for WWF...

And yea, I was actually able to submit my deferral/excuse yesterday, so they said 'wait three days for our ruling, don't just automatically assume we accept it' - oy vey, don't they know I'm stressed enough about starting school?! Congrats on getting out of it so quickly, Trio!

I feel like a useless piece of poop. I went down to the ol' college town since the GF is still working there, so while she's at work I just sit at her apartment... F5'ing the pre-allo forum every few minutes... watching Fox News. I can't even work out because the gym I have a membership at doesn't have a location here, and I'm not going to pay the ridiculous price to go to the school's rec center since I'm technically not a student anymore.

This is a sad, sad existence.

Me too! Everything I do has long incubation periods, so I guess I'm still kind of making progress while being on SDN.

EA, I assume Ikea will still have the summer sale, but I'm just surprised it didn't start today.
 
Very proud of my husband right now, I just want to let you know. 😀 😀 😀

I promised him country fried steak for Father's Day but we went out for a big brunch and we didn't want the steak the same day. He's totally getting it tonight (interpret that as you will...).

He's past-due for his first yearly review at his job. He's been working really hard for them and got a raise that's more than 3 times what he expected. It's going to come out to roughly another paycheck a month. 😀

Thanks guys! This makes the prospect of two in daycare and some of the more expensive things the house needs a lot easier to swallow.

Thanks! I'm pretty pleased, but also certain no one actually "checked" my app since the approval was received instantly. Maybe they just thought "oh he wouldn't lie about MOVING to another state"...

Yes I either have long incubation periods, nothing to do at all, or like today, I make my undergrad volunteer do all my work. :meanie:
