I'm stuck lurking SDN via iPad because I don't have real Internet for a week 😡

I start school tomorrow... It's scary but seeing that all of you that have started have survived makes me feel a little better.

Same here (about the real internets). Waiting until one of my roommates moves in before getting the cable installed. I'm awfully tempted to get tethering on my iPhone so I don't have to go to Starbucks every day just to be able to use my laptop on teh intarnets.

Are there any North Face outlet stores near you? I got this one for like $60. It's kind of awesome, I won't lie.
 
If you thought a Class of 2018 thread was ridiculous at this stage in the game, now there's a 2019 thread. Man, ya leave pre-allo just for a bit to focus on classes and it gets all uppity and weird.
 
Had an awesome dinner with a few MS3s from my school today--just a random get together. Thought it was awesome! 🙂

Excited! Starting school in ONE WEEK! YIKES.
 
I miss you guys!!!

We just got our schedule for next week and our first hour (yeah, hour) of lecture tomorrow has over 50 powerpoint slides that are almost all text. About one slide per minute on genetics, which of course I never took during undergrad :scared:

The internet connection that we have in our apartment absolutely sucks. 😡 It seems like it's operating at dial-up speeds a lot of the time.

Better than our internet which is cutting in and out--the modem resets. TWC sent out two techs--about a month apart-both replaced the modem. Now a third tech is supposed to come out to "fix" the problem again, we'll see if that actually will FIX the damn problem this time around. Ugh.
 
Officially moving into my apartment today. ahh.

My parents and I managed to assemble a full-sized lofted bed with desk under it (from costco!) in my tiny 7.5 x 8/9ish room yesterday. haha. I feel like I am back in my freshman dorm room.. except even more awesome.

Trying to think of things to do/see with my dad in Boston while he's hanging out with me. I was thinking of looking at various historical areas (Beacon, Commons, Capital), trying to get my ID so we can go to museums? Need suggestions! Lots of y'all know more about the area than I do 🙂

I need fashion advice! Should I go with muted colors for the white coat ceremony (more typical/traditional light blue shirt with red tie), light green shirt with blue tie, or vibrant turquoise with red tie?

I really wanna go with the vibrant turquoise..but I feel like that'd be a bit much haha. Can I get anyone's two cents about it?

Keep in mind you'll be wearing a white coat. That much white can be a little intense, so it may be a good idea to wear earthy colors (desaturated/light green shirt, brown tie), or at least muted colors (desaturated/light blue shirt, navy tie). Either way, you don't want something intense like a vibrant turquoise from a color-theory standpoint, as it would look clashing or at least super intense, in my opinion. Additionally, it's a professional ceremony and vibrant turquoise is not technically a business professional dress color.

However, I'm not quite taking my own advice. I must admit I like the look of white-shirt and white-coat. I'm doing that with a Navy tie and gray pants.

Thanks! That's what I thought--I'll probably go with the light blue/red tie or green shirt with dark blue tie. 🙂 Yay!

I had my first two hours of lecture today... But tomorrow we mostly run around main campus and play games. I was gifted a flash drive full of stuff like Robbins' review book and Goljan audio etc from my big sib MS2. I'm happy 😀

I discovered last night that me and my new flatmate (a girl) have the same drinking taste (IPAs and porters). It did not end well.... (well, the night did... this morning has not).
