And other schools compensate for Maine, Tufts reserves 10ish seats a year for Maine students to matriculate, come back and practice in Maine.

"The Maine Track".

So I guess they have formal agreements with schools in MA, CT, VT, etc.

The weather only sucks if you're not a skiier 😎. I have vermont on my list for possibly that very reason.. I hear the skiing is baller and it seems like a cool place. Cold weather isn't that bad if you dress properly =).

Then again, so cal would be niiice.
 
Here's my policy - go to the medical school which has the academics/learning environment you like the most, disregard other factors....

Then.. when you get your breaks and vacations, hit up Socal, ski resorts, beaches, NYC, boston, miami etc. You'll enjoy it 1000x more when you don't have an exam lingering over your shoulder.
 
Someone in the UofA thread recently said that he is nervous to pull up a message board window with my avatar in it, because his employer thinks he could be looking at gay porn.

hahahahahaha...i never look @ this site from school....but only because my friends would think i was a looooooser if they saw me looking at it.

thanks curbs. i want to change my sdn handle to my mdapps one, but i don't think i can unless i make a new account... oh well.

i'm glad to see this thread is poppin today. and it turns out most of my mistakes on AAMC 7 PS were just stupid mistakes, probably because I was at a noisy ass barnes and noble.
 
If a gang approached you, knowing you were going to medical school, and they offered to pay for your education as long as you provided that gang free health care at the end of your training would you agree? You can still practice otherwise, but you must treat the gang members for free. I was just thinking about this because a while back in one of my criminal justice classes we were talking about how gangs are beginning to recruit young college grads to run their businesses a lot more efficiently.

Good idea. Every time I fly back to visit family, I'll be hitting up the rockies tho =) (dad got a job in CO last year... the rest of the family is moving over soon)

Depends on the gang. The crips are known for occasionally respecting some famous member's wishes to leave. I wouldn't want to be put in that position, though.

Actually, I think Fox has pretty decent journalistic coverage. The opinion and analysis may be biased, but I think the journalists are pretty good. 👍
