oh america
Have you guys tried the Myers-Briggs personality tests? INTJ(Introvert, iNtuitive, Thinking, Judging) types are supposed to be only about 2% of this country's population, but on SDN it's waaaay overrepresented.

enfp, pretty consistant. occasionally i've scored enfj or esfp.
I found out today my friend got rejected from our state school. He said the question that might have screwed him over was the what-will-you-do-if-you-don't-get-in one. His response was that he'd reapply, and if rejected again he'd go to Cairo and work as an egyptologist/archaeologist for a while but eventually returning to medicine. I didn't think this was a bad response. Sometimes after 2 years of rejection you just need to break away??

That's probably not what broke him, but, depending on the school, it could be.
I had one of the higher-up deans of Cornell? or Northwestern? Some up-there school. Tell me that you NEVER. EVER. Reply "reapply to medical school." The intent of the question is "if you could not go to medical school. EVER. what would you do?"
So the recommended response is:
"If I could not go into medicine for some reason, I would ________"
Even if what they asked was:
"If you did not get in this year."
It's tricky.
i went to a freakin tea party today which explains why ive been gone for a few weeks.
I don't understand the purpose of these types of questions 😕
i keep forgetting how close we are to getting scores and then you guys remind me and i'm like DAMNNIIITTTT
ps why is it gunner-ish to say you're going to be a dr. no matta what?
I don't think it was a joke.
Yeap. I'll probably go dentistry/engineering/race car driver if I don't get in.if i don't get in this year i'm not reapplying.
Because med schools want people who don't just want to be doctors.i keep forgetting how close we are to getting scores and then you guys remind me and i'm like DAMNNIIITTTT

I was asked this at 4/8 interviews. I never said id be a doc no matter what i always listed about 2-3 other careers. One of which was being an ESPN anchor like van pelt or mike tirico.....haha apparently someone didnt think it was stupid since i was accepted, but i guess dreams die hard🙁...Admittedly not the best choice of words, but I think the same people that engage in typical gunner behavior would be the same kind of lame that refuse to play this question's game. "What would you do if you couldn't be a doctor?" is a question to get to know what other interests you have and what makes you well-rounded. Responding with "I'd be a doctor no matter what," makes you sound like a pre-med robot.
JMHO, YMMV, BBQ.
ESFJ apparently, but weakly except the EHave you guys tried the Myers-Briggs personality tests? INTJ(Introvert, iNtuitive, Thinking, Judging) types are supposed to be only about 2% of this country's population, but on SDN it's waaaay overrepresented.

you're a fatty/transformer?i love interviews, actually, but that's mainly because i'm like a bowl full of jelly beans. people are always interested in looking at me and guessing sh it about me and theyre always wrong. i'm always more than i appear.
