I got accepted as an undergrad, but ended up going somewhere else. I always felt that for med school they were a better choice for me. I wonder if they will still think of me as a "fit"..hmmm

Okay, here is my random icebreaker question:

If you were the first to describe some sort of truth about the human condition and have a "law" named after you along the lines of Murphy's Law or Godwin's Law, what would it be? Try to come up with an actual prediction of events instead of just a philosophical statement

P.S. Why can't we have secondary application essays like this? I'm sick of "what is your interest in ____ School of Medicine, specifically?" or "Describe an experience which demonstrates your commitment to diversity"

I can't name it because that would be giving away my name 😛 I'd call it the _(Insert my name here)__ Heart.

But it would have to do with something that Paul Schmidtberger calls a design flaw of the human condition (I didn't steal it; I recognized it long before I read his book😉). Specifically, that even when humans are presented over and over again with evidence that love leads to heartache and pain, we still try over and over and over again to find it.

But if anyone is ever having sex and afterwards thinks about Suncrusher's Law, that would make me soooooo happy. Like, I would just quit med school because my life would be complete.

Unfortunately for you, this can not be called a law b/c it does not have validity everywhere. I have repeatedly proved your conclusion to be wrong after much R & D on the topic. 😀

Totally. Orange.

I will wear coral, but only in small doses. But NEVER ever orange.

Until recently I also didn't wear green, but it turns out it looks good on me.

Edit: Two more secondaries to write today...I can do this...I can do this....
 
If I were making a "things I hate" list, two of the items would be drying off with a wet towel, and the color orange. am i right or am i right?

You ask me what you think I will have accomplished in 2030. All I can think of is that I really should have gotten a hovercraft by then. I feel as though I was promised one at least 5 years ago.

I didn't really realize what schools I don't want to go to until it came to writing secondaries. Honestly I'm scared poopless of massive debt, so any school that I know is unlikely to give any merit aid and/or has high tuition is a more daunting task.

sounds like uchicago should be your number 1!!! 😛. I understand though. I lucked out big time in that i still ended up with a good amount of free money. Im still going to be 100k+ in debt, but i suppose its better then the 240k others are in with no aid at all...but looking back if i had your stats i would only apply to schools with free monies!

I just figure its honestly too late now so ill run with it and hope i dont look 10 years back and think how stupid i was lol.

on a happier note i think i finally found housing today! god this was wayyy to hard. Its not with a med student but w/e. A tip for those of you when you get accepted. Med schools taht have on campus housing make life wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy easier for M1 years. After that it doesnt matter as much but finding housing with random people when you live in another state or live like 8 hrs away...is a fail process.

Ah I don't look forward to looking for housing. I've never lived with someone outside my family and I don't wanna end up with fail roommates or fail housing!

Also, when you said walmart salary, I had an apocalyptic vision that walmart and the USGovernment will combine and we'll pretty seamlessly transfer to BraveNewWorld from there.

Oops, that's not all. After reading that book, I put the word 'pneumatic' into one of my sentences once an hour to amuse myself...it didn't really amuse me, but now it makes for a boring story for you all to read.

Haha, yeah there's some schools that just got put on the backburner. I'm terrified of debt and I'm all about free money. Especially since the odds that I'll get regular aid are slim at best.
