an underrated cookie is the chocolate, chocolate chip cookie. i never see anyone make those at home, but when you get them at the grocery store or something they are always drool worthy.

Someone brought over nutella cookies earlier tonight. I kind of want to try them out...
 
last week my friend was inspired and made crepes, then we put nutella and bananas on them. it was basically a dessert burrito.

Yea, I bet at one point an interviewer is going to ask me to tell them a joke, and most of mine are on the crude side. Great.

Same here. I'm pretty good at telling a funny story, but my delivery on regular jokes is just not so awesome.

Would anyone be willing to read through my EC's before I submit my app? I want to know if I should explain in more detail/give a better explanation of my experiences or maybe spin it in a different angle. I always feel like a two year old when I explain things - so any help would be wonderful.
 
Woohoo AMCAS just got verified and DO secondaries are starting to come.
 
Just learned a surgical procedure on a mouse. Tying sutures afterward = best part. Watching it stagger around while the anesthesia kicked in was really pathetic and made me sad 🙁

I have 4 secondaries complete, 3 submitted but waiting to be marked as complete and forwarded for review, and I'm sitting on 2 more (meant to finish them last night, but obviously that didn't happen). Haven't received secondaries from the other 10 schools. booo.

sounds like you are at least making progress🙂. Med school starts in 4 days im kinda freakin out. I keep thinking im somehow going to be in that 1% that fails out of med school lol 🙁. That and im not looking forward to living with my roomate, we are already off on the wrong foot.

This is my fear. I am married, but have the house to myself during the week and I am worried I won't like having a roommate or that we won't get along.

Also, I totally see what you meant about Inception.

BTW working and doing stuff and taking classes makes it hard to also wanna do secondaries. I'm sure most of you empathize.

I'm going to try and re-join this thread. You guys seem to have so much fun, I just couldn't keep up. Anyway, I have 6 secondaries complete and one more that I will finish tonight. Haven't heard from the other 8 schools yet.

yep, im married too but my wife will be not with me the 1st year...hopefully my roomate situation isnt too bad if not oh well ill be studying all the time anyways right?

yes inception! 🙂. long story with roommate that im not comfortable with posting here, but basically long story short after some stuff happened, im not even able to get ahold of this person and its been a few weeks...im getting paranoid that when i get there i may not even have a house....not really sure what to do in this situation i dont wanna be a dick if theres a decent reason for this, but with school starting in <1 week...kinda paranoid if that makes sense.

On a much happier note i got confirmation today of some great news, bascially more free money from my school yay! 🙂. I never really understood why people wouldnt just go to the cheapest school possible but i totally get it now. I choose a school that will put me in about 100k less debt then anywhere else i got in at, but it wasnt my top choice or my number 1 even after interviewing, i keep thinking maybe i should have just chosen where i fell in love with. Then again when i pay my 1st loan payment in 4 years i may be like man what a great decision im a genius haha
