Class of 2016!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I've never tried it. I'm not really a banana fan, so I never had a desire to litter my sandwich with it. Maybe one of these days....
Try it! I would have it more often, but that would mean I would have to cut up a banana. Tooooooo lazy.

Should I feel bad now that my app was ready to go for today and I didn't receive any secondaries?

No- most schools send them to everyone. It's not an accomplishment for those institutions. You'll get them soon.

That's what she said. Bam.

Bananas are horrible. They should all burn. Along with olives and cilantro.

BLASPHEMER. Cilantro makes almost everything better. If you had a bite of my steak fajitas you'd kick yourself in the face for that comment. I'll agree on the olives though. Number one way to ruin a pizza.

Edit: Stupid FAP program. I got approved in November so I have to call every admissions office to make sure that the waiver still stands for this calender year. As if anything would've changed had I re-submitted the "FAP app" in January....

I don't think it does. You have to submit a new one for the new calendar year.

you guys don't like bananas either?! friends forever.

i probably eat one or two a year, and it's usually because there are no other options.

the texture is gross.

i do love black olives though.

AGREED. :highfive:

Especially black olives. *shudders*

AWFUL. I tried them a few months ago because I thought maybe I just didn't like them out of stubbornness. No. They really are awful.

You don't understand. If you tasted what I taste when I eat cilantro, you would curse it to its dying day. It's like a combination between soap and death. I do not kid.

Yay!!

What's wrong with eating soap? I used to have to wash my mouth with soap all the time as a kid, so now I kind of like the flavor.

How is that possible? Do you have a different taste experience with other foods too? I seem to remember some recessive trait that some people have for bitter tastes. We did taste-tests in bio lab.

/nerd rant

Yea I know. I'm calling to ask if there can be an adjustment made on their part (i.e. bending rules for one person 🙂), but this is only because my mom filed a tax extension, and who the hell knows when her taxes will get in. They have everything but her 1040.

Me too! I tried them on a Subway sandwich because I thought that I would realize what everyone said I was missing out on. I. Was. Wrong. Every bite with olives in it was death. I opened my sandwich and picked the olives and threw them at my friend who told me to put them in there in the first place.

My mom has a habit of making 'smoothies' out of various vegetables and storing them in the fridge. She told me to try the spinach 'smoothie' she had in the fridge, so I took it and drank a huge gulp. FREAKING. CILANTRO. JUICE. I probably convulsed for a good minute. While my brain was reeling from that atrocity, I heard my mom's faint voice, "oh wait, the spinach juice is in my room...." 😡

I don't even know why she made cilantro juice in the first place. 😕

Ah, I see. Yeah, you don't want to be held up on secondaries because of that. I hope they grant it to you. :xf:

Mmmmm...Irish Spring!

I remember doing that taste-test in high school bio, but had the dominant gene then. There's some evidence that cilantro has a similar chemical. http://www.nytimes.com/2010/04/14/dining/14curious.html

Oh my god I nearly had a stroke just reading that. EWWW!!! *cries*

Hmm... just as a general application question.

I was #1 in the world for a couple of years at a certain online game with a few thousand players. Worthy of a slot on AMCAS?

I <3 olives, cilantros and bananas. I can eat olives whole out of a can. Cilantro is great in my guacamole. I love bananas plain or in my cereal. MMMMMMMMM

I don't know how y'all don't like them haha. I don't think there's any food that I don't like (aside from meat but I've never had it so it doesn't count)

Here, have some of this:

pwnt. i still stuff black olives over my fingertips and suck them off one by one 😉 at Thanksgiving. I'm still relegated to the children's table, so I feel like that justifies my puerile behavior... which in turn lands me at the kid's table again the next year... hrmm....

bananas = great before/during/after exercise

cilantro really does enhance any and every dish... that and velveeta. what i can't stand is the faintest odor or taste of coffee beans. i sh** a brick every time i open a pack of jelly bellies, pop in what i believe to be a root beer or a chocolate, then tear my clothes off in a blind rage and take some steel wool to my tongue

The kid's table f****** rocks.

I may or may not do this as well 😏

I love coffee, but the after taste IS pretty bad and lingers for hours

Only if you list it as one of your most meaningful experiences.

Please eat all of these things so I don't have to be in their presence. *beg*

The kid's table f****** rocks.

It's true.
