that you have, we've missed you bookfreak. You through with your excursion to the SSD?
Hahaha. Yes, I think so. Nothing left for me to see there.I should be posting here more often. 🙂
This thread should (hopefully) blow up over the next couple of months before we descend to the pits of inactivity a la 2015.![]()
I wonder how much we should spam if we want to catch up to 2014. that has to happen
I didn't know about this thread a year ago. I was in the middle of MCAT-studying madness.
I missed the Pokemon discussion. Boo.
Tantacles, do you play competitively?
Nah, I just think about it competitively. When I do play, I tend to breed for IVs and nature and EV train. I don't play competitively because I hate double battles, and those are what the official tournaments require.
HOWEVER, Paxeast will have a Pokemon League this year, so I'm extremely excited to see how things go. 😀 My multiscale dragonite gone reck sum sheet.
This post is like, half-gibberish to my n00b ears. 🙁
Also, how is it already 9 pm? Senioritis-induced procrastination bump.

I wasn't comfortable posting here until i knew i would be class of 2016. the embarrassment of having to move to the 2017 thread... ugh.
You brought back your MDApps!
Yesssss.... reversing the recent trend of disappearing MDApps in this thread.
this is my greatest fear. No offense to the 2017ers but 2016 is much cooler.

I think 2016 is cool and all, but the number 2017 looks cooler. Maybe it's just me; I always thought the number 7 looked so chic, while the number 6 looks like a fat man with scoliosis and a beer belly.

haha, you're certainly not the only 2016 lurker.
Come out and play with us guys! We don't bite...hard 😉

Ah, I see. I did the EV/IV thing for a bit, then bailed because I didn't want to spend time looking for the right nature, battling specific pokemon in order to raise a specific stat, etc. I also am not a fan of double battles. 👎
Well, I didn't have too much of a problem. What I did was catch a ditto of every nature. Then, I checked to see which ditto had perfect IVs and marked them (black/white makes this REALLY easy).
Then, I used the following items to transfer ****:
Everstone: Nature
Power Weight/Band/Belt/Lens/scarf/oneotheroneIcan'tremember: Perfect IVs.
This way, within a couple hours, I can get a pokemon with the right nature and EVs.
THEN. Infect with pokerus (got this a while ago) to double EVs, equip with the power scarf/band/whatever and EV train. With this strategy, it takes me around 64 battles to EV train a pokemon. And keep in mind I've done this over the course of six months and have 12 IV/EV bred pokemon, so I'm not doing this too frequently.
what is this science fiction talk?
