I don't drink with hipsters because I get sick of hearing "I love this band... and you probably haven't heard of them because they're super obscure" AND because PBR is terrible. :meanie:

I do, however, like Pomplamoose covers of songs. They're cool.

2) All obscure bands are good
and 3) They drink PBR and say that it's good on tap.

I don't go to many shows. Mostly cause of $$, but also because I'm just not a fan of really loud places with tons of people. That said, I've seen Cowboy Mouth live twice, and they are AWESOME! If you ever get a chance, you should definitely check them out. The drummer/lead singer is so full of energy and puts on a great show.

Jenny Says is good, I really like Hurricane Party and Everybody Loves Jill as well.

Impressive. I've had too many bad experiences with hard liquor, so I solely drink beer, and it's almost always Heineken.

I've had a lot of bad experiences with liquor too, but I'm a slow learner when it comes to things like this. :laugh:

When given a choice, though, I'll nearly always take beer. Most mixed drinks are too sweet for me. So when I do drink liquor, I often drink it on the rocks or mixed with club soda or something. But beer=best! 😀

PS Just have to say that there's a thunderstorm right now and it is giving me great happies.

Yeah, waiting for MCAT results was awful. 🙁 I made the mistake of telling a lot of people I was taking it, so for four weeks I heard "How did your test go??" every five minutes...which didn't help the situation. For me, it got easier after the first week. But never all that easy. At least you can keep yourself busy with AMCAS/secondaries! Woohoo! 😛

And I'm a CNA on a cardiac floor.

I'm dedicating tomorrow to finding a job for the rest of the summer, though I think my efforts will be to no avail. I'll probably end up volunteering at a hospital for a couple months.

Have you gotten any secondaries yet?

And I haven't gotten secondaries, but generally med schools prefer that you submit your primary first. Haha. I was planning to submit it last week but did a last minute rewrite of my PS. Hoping to get it in tomorrow. You?

Haha I like your sense of humor :laugh:. If I have a woman interview me tomorrow, sexual favors are fair game.

I received my first secondary from Dartmouth, even though my MCAT scores are in. It's probably my last choice, because I really want to stay in-state. I only applied there because I love Hanover, I love the curriculum, and it's a pretty solid school that isn't research-heavy. I'm not submitting anything until I get my scores though.

Dartmouth, nice! 🙂 I'm pretty strongly considering applying there. There are really a LOT of schools I want to apply to, but I got financial assistance so I can only do the 14 free ones. Can't afford to add more. So I've been agonizing over my school list for weeks. I'm into non-research-heavy schools too.

Yeah, that must be tough, it took me a while to develop a final school list. I'm sure you'll figure it out. I'm only applying to 10 schools total. I don't really care where I go, as long as I get in, because if I don't, I only have the skill set to be a professional manwhore (don't get me wrong, I'd enjoy this too).
