Class of 2016!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
this was probably taken moments before the cat attacked the poor puppy.

Don't say that! Cats and dogs can be great friends. For example:

Whoa. Cuteness overload.

Also, even though I'm a huge fan of cheese, I just can't seem to get into Brie. I keep trying it, and I either come away like "meh" or "bleh" depending on the type of Brie.

didn't like brie til i smushed it with a date. soooo good .

When I was in Costa Rica I visited a guinea pig farm, and ate roasted guinea pig. The street vendors roast the little "cui" right there on the sidewalks. They have a big layer of fat. Taste a lot like duck, actually.
mmm, I love duck. Not a fan of foie grais on principle but regular old duck is amazing.

Imaginary PS openers:

The man strode up to the podium, and announced yet another name that was not my own; I was about to slide out of the first round and thought to myself, "Hey, why not medicine?" (NFL second round draft pick)

My mother was diagnosed with AIDS shortly after I was born. I was delivered by an American pre-medical student on the banks of the Ubangi River in the former Congo, and I knew from that moment I wanted to be a doctor, but more specifically I wanted to return the favor and specialize in high-risk pregnancies in the United States.

As a young boy, my dad bought me a plastic stethoscope for Christmas one year, and I began to auscultate the lungs and heart of my teddy bear. From that point on, I decided I wanted to become a physician, but only to bears. I looked into veterinary school, but unfortunately there are no fellowships in bear medicine, not to mention bears as a population are exceedingly healthy, especially in salmon season. I figured humans are pretty similar to bears, so here I am.

I have no clinical experience, I have no volunteering experience, I have not shadowed, I have no research experience, and I have not finished my college education. What I do have is a G.E.D. and a "give-em-hell" attitude. I feel like this would greatly increase the diversity of your upcoming medical school class..

haha

especially those last ones

I've never tried duck either! I hear the guinea pigs are pretty big compared to what you'd expect--very much like the difference between domesticated and undomesticated cats.

Also, we just put in our application to rent a nice house in Houston! 😀 Moving at the end of the month!

Congrats!! I just put down a deposit on an apartment... :scared:

I suffer from incredibly bad buyer's remorse, even though I shop around like crazy.

Ooooooo, you just hit 100 posts CC!

This house was actually the first one we looked at back in April. We just found out it's still available, and we like it more than our other options. We're quite excited. 🙂

i'm ba-ack...

What is this, the lavender check-in? I was below Rue St. Ann yesterday, got whistled at a couple of times.

Tantacles - did you go to any of the evening shows in P-town? I went to a stand up comedy show the last time I was there, and learned one of my all time favorite jokes: "So, I'm a top. And I'm a Jew. I guess you could call me a dradle!"

 new favorite joke ever.

Ahhhhh lucky!! I looked at condos and first, but literally every place I liked was gone within a week of seeing it. I never had the go-getter real estate attitude; at least not enough to make an offer within a day. 😳

Other people now run my company, so I make my own schedule. It's better than retiring, and this is not a great time to sell a software company at any rate.

was this a troll? so confused as to what it was doing in 2016....

one of my friends was not at all interested in learning the names of the guys she met at a bar, so she gave them names from boy meets world.

i was a fan of shawn hunter.

Hahahaha. Next time I go out with a friend and get hit on, I should be Rachel and she can be Angela. I'll remember that.

i hate brie here right now. go to france. almost all cheese there is better. i miss it already. 🙁

I was at whole foods the other day and they had this delicious cheese sample and sunflower honey.

I forgot what it was called, was a soft cheese and started with a c (not camembert).

not chevre? (goat cheese) chimay grand cru? cambozola? chaumes? coulommiers?

that sounds sad because guineapigs are so cute, but DELICIOUS. because duck is awesome.
