Class of 2016!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
It poured here yesterday. Totally awesome, we needed the rain badly and it's been so hot lately. Too bad it had to happen AFTER the fires here all burned tens of thousands of acres.

It hasn't been over 80 all summer long in SoCal. It's so perfect its annoying.

You want drought and forest fires too? 🙁

its cyclical a few years back all of SoCal was on fire, while NorCal was flooding. But I'd actually like to be able to go to a pool or the beach or something and wear appropriate attire for it. I want my 85-95 degree summer weather

Soooo, are you in the desert or in Kansas?

The desert (Phoenix). I agree that dry heat is better than humid, but 110+ is unpleasant no matter how you slice it. That view looks amazing btw.

I've been to Walmart every day since arriving in Houston. I will likely be breaking this Walmart streak tomorrow, however.

Also, we just installed a new speed sensor in my car. Somewhere in the middle of Louisiana, my speedometer and odometer just stopped working. Good times.

So. Hungover. Want IV of water and caffeine (although it's a dehydrant---I have to work, and I'm d-e-a-d)

iv drips hurt. i had one in the crook of my elbow for way too long this weekend, and everytime i even remotely flexed or extended my arm, i felt it move. 🙁

Guys - I ate over 1800 Calories yesterday, which is something I haven't done in over two months. GREAT SUCCESS! I'm hoping my very fat-restricted diet will help keep my reflux and gastritis from acting up as much. It seems to be working so far, but it's hard not to eat delicious fats. Here's to hoping I put on a few pounds before school starts. :xf:

yay congrats!!! i definitely have my fingers crossed for you too. 🙂 👍👍👍

ps lady, i've been down with severe gastroenteritis (or something like it - docs still aren't sure what) for the last 4 days, and i have to say, you're kind of a hero to me. i can't imagine having this on a longterm chronic basis. it is one of the worst things i've ever experienced, and i've walked around with a broken bone before. i won't go into details about symptoms (inb4 tmi) but the pain is le suck.

Just realized I got my first interview one year ago tomorrow. How times change.

i had just celebrated turning in my first 13 secondaries. by the end of the month, that number would triple.

AC is the most annoying place for an IV. Wrist is better. I hope you feel better soon. 🙁

You have it worse right now. Acute gastroenteritis exceeds chronic gastritis in suckage all day, 'err day. I hope you feel better soon! Stay hydrated!
