Anyone mind if I spam a bit? I want to get to 600 posts :meanie:

YES. To give you fair warning, reasonable thoughts flee at the sight of this thread.

I'm done playing ethics. Ready to talk about absolutely stupid, mind numbing stuff. My favourite.

Anyone ever tried shake and baking with rice krispies. Now that is sexy crunch.
Besides as a class of 2016 hopeful. I feel like I contribute to this thread.

Hahahaha, I was a Canadian/Brit. But my parents sold out for the American dream. I refuse to drop the u in some of my spellings.

Hence why I know about McGill and some of these Canadian schools. Because my friends are paying 3000 in tuition. Where I look to potentially pay 47,000. Le sigh.

I had code blu help me with that 🙂

I hate filling out the classes, can't they just look at our AMCAS app?

Same with Boston, they have a grid and it was hard to fill out because I had to convert everything to semester (my school is in the quarter system).

was filling out my primary when I decided to take a nap. It is now almost 9:30 and I probably won't be getting any sleep until after 1am. So in an effort to stir up conversation, I will make the following statements.

Lol harry potter books lol

HP movies >>>>> HP books

Shawshank Redemption is one of the most overrated movies ever.

Pie > cake

and I still haven't started on my PS

okay lets go.

I really hope you are successful. Because your essays had great ideas and motivations.

Why, that's outrageous!

Blizzah? You at U of T St. George?

If so, I don't blame you for wanting to get out of Canada. My american friends think they know what gunners are...

They haven't been to U of T... where people get roofied on the regular... in the library to prevent them from studying. Or where notes mysteriously go missing. Your laptop being stolen, least of your worries. Your textbook, that's gone. hahaha

Fair enough, fair enough. I suppose we did "adopt" (read: adulterate) the language. 'MUURRRRRICA ftw.

I hadn't thought to ever look into it, but what is the typical Canadian medical school's policy on international applicants? Are residents/citizens of the U.S. considered international, and would concessions be made given your background?

Officially can't talk to you anymore.

I stopped at Book IV.

I couldn't deal with it anymore. I started reading other stuff. But, JK Rowling, is a brilliant genius. I had her sign my copy of the philosopher's stone.

I have a signed copy of Chamber of Secrets 🙂

That type of question assumes that an American would actually want to go to Canada though

Residents of the US are most definitely international students. Some schools won't even accept your application. Since Canada has socialized medicine, medical education and health care is largely government funded. So medical school tuition on average is 17,000 dollars. However, some schools do accept international students willingly. But generally, you have to be a permanent resident or citizen.

Speaking of which, you don't want Canadian schools. A lot of my friends joined me in Detroit, because they couldn't get verbal scores above 11. Yes, you needed an 11 in verbal to even be CONSIDERED for an interview. Hard cut off done by a computer.

Yes St. George. Fortunately/unfortunately? I dunno. None of that has happened, that I know of anyway haha.

People will borrow the library textbook so other people can't use it though, that's a real PITA.

And U of T did not accept 1 international student this year according to their twitter.

I actually read chamber of secrets first. Sounds stupid I know. But the librarian suggested it. Why I don't know. But I am glad I did it that way. It was really cool to start that way.

Me tooooooo. It was the first and last one I read.

And I wish the state-sponsored schools here were just a taaaaad cheaper

U of T reminds me a whole lot of U of Michigan.

They both have twitters, and outrageous admission standards. My GPA would be laughed at. But I guess my 8 lowest classes would be dropped which would increase my GPA to 3.7 or 3.8ish. So I might stand a fighting chance.

but being mean means being talked to

Canada is great, don't worry. But I agree with you, American's would not want to go to Canada. America is the land of the free. Canada is too I guess... but American's going to Canada, not common.

Canadians fleeing the country moving to the USA? Happens alllll the time.

There's always Texas

I wonder what I'd have to do to become a resident of Texas. And I wonder if I can do it within a month.
