My flash drive that currently has all my resumes (for my ECs) and the first (really) rough draft pf my PS is currently missing. I'm sure its on the other side of my bed, but that side is probably crawling with spiders which I'm too afraid to go to. I'll do it in the morning since I don't work tomorrow.

in other words, bumming around

I was all ready to at least finish my ECs today, I have all the luck.

And I hate spiders with a fiery passion. But i'm also terrified of them so I have a hard time trying to kill them because it involves me getting close to them.

I had a classmate that popped out a kid at 12. And a couple of girls I saw at our outreach event at a local elementary school (K-8 and located in the hood) were pushing strollers.
 
I was on gchat, posting in lj, trolling temple's website, and looking over my secondary~ 😛

I went to a Catholic elementary school in a nice little island next to Oakland and the elementary school I volunteer at now is over on the west side of Chicago. It has a lovely metal detector. I've seen high schools with metal detectors, but not K-8.

My classmate getting pregnant was kind of a big deal that left the entire school in shock. You just don't do those kinds of things! She ended up leaving the school. Not sure if she was expelled or left on her own accord.

you from the hood then. I went to elementary school in San Jose, no metal detectors or 12 year olds getting pregnant
 
I always used to tell people I'm from the hood of my suburban whitopea, because there are apartment buildings where I live.


Honestly, the town where I grew up is such a sickeningly perfect place to live that it makes me want to throw up a little bit. It won an award from CNN a couple years ago for being the best place to live in America. Click. I hightailed it out of there when I graduated high school, but it's not so bad if you have small children. I just found it to be stifling.

:nono: Too bad there isn't a neckroll icon. I was able to play outside and walk to my high school and elementary school without fear and there certainly were no flashing blue light callboxes or whatever the hell it is here in Chicago to denote that you're entering a craptastic neighborhood so drive it like you stole it.

Alameda wasn't all that bad in the 80s and 90s. It just wasn't as much of the hipster hot spot for young families as it is now with the theater all nice and restored, which brought in all these fancy little restaurants and shops.

My friend got stalked hard. He was tricked into accepting a friend request from someone who had just gotten facebook, he knew her. This fake person used a picture he would recognize. Then this fake girl whoever she was started writing all over his wall. Then somehow she found out where he lived through his photos. Stalkers will go to great lengths apparently to magnify street signs.

So I removed my photos but I was just too weirded out by the lack of privacy.

When was this? The privacy controls currently available in Facebook should allow a matter like this to be fixed fairly trivially.

Anyway, Facebook can be as private as you want it. I see you have opted for the ultimate in privacy. 😉
