Thanks for the answer. Technically I am on pace as if I were a junior (Class of 2012) but I'll finish in 3.5 years instead of 4. Spring '11 was all upper level electives. I ordered my transcript without this past semester's grades because if I waited it'd probably set me back 3 weeks. How would I go about updating it? Do I need to? When would that have to happen by?

In your case, when would you send Spring '11 grades? Thanks

Besides tough mudder training... studying for my written test for my drivers license. Seriously IL WTF sometimes I hate this state.
 
Just finished my 5th Fl, and did horrible on it. I don't know if its because TPRs test are harder or maybe I'm just stupid. Totally considering changing my test date 🙁

i'm pretty sure that you aren't considered a reapplicant if you withdraw AMCAS before it's verified. check on this to be sure, but i think that's how it works. that raises the tactic of researching your likely date of verification by looking at the old verification threads, and submitting AMCAS on a date that should give you a couple days between getting your MCAT scores and getting verified. that way you could pull the plug if you had to, with no strings attached.

update on the life of a berry--

MCAT in T-6 days (21st).
Finished a few section tests today because of my lack of productivity today. Scored in the 50%s, could have done better but they're tricky.
Had a date over for dinner yesterday. Small caramelized onions and cheese tartlets, chicken scampi, and black tie sponge cake. 😎
We'll see where that goes, but referring to said lack of productivity yesterday, I don't think a first date the week before my MCAT is exactly good 🙄

Hope you all are doing great 😀

EDIT: phnerd, I saw the bulls' symbol the other day on TV when I was at BJs, and I thought of you. 🙂

bumping this thread, still down after terrible practice MCAT today, want to drown my sorrows in booze but I swore off alcohol until after my test. Going to go crazy.

Don't let it get you down! That's the worst thing you can do after a practice test! Make sure you review it and find out why it went wrong. Maybe you just forgot one equation and it threw a couple questions off, or read something wrong. Either way, you need to look at this as a learning moment. I would be depressed for days after a bad test and now I regret it because there was so much I could do about it. You got this, don't worry. We all believe in you!

Ughhh I requested mine on 5/5, and then said grades would be in by 5/7 and they would send them out shortly after. Still haven't gotten a confirmation 🙁

EDIT: They just received mine! One step closer 🙂

it sucks because my scores kept improving up until this test and it was the worst I've done since my first FL. I know I'm terrible when it comes to acids/bases, liquids/solids and Sn1/Sn2 reactions but that test was just brutal :scared:

but thanks for the words of encouragement. I'm just going to have to go HAM on my study books these next few weeks 👍

but now I am 50 bucks poorer and I have an IL license+ID!

Its ridiculous how much they cost. I had to pay 30 bucks for a MANDATORY renewal for my 21st bday, but my sister who LOST her license only has to pay 5 bucks. Seriously IL?

Wisconsin. In and out in 30 minutes. BAM.

Worst is CA. When I took my driving test I got to the DMV facility by 6:30 am.. and there was a LINE.

Agreed. I had to submit some forms and when I (finally) got to the front of the line, the worker told me that I forgot to date something. I was reaching in my bag for a pen and she told me to go and wait in line again (after I have been there for an hour already). I told her that I could easily date it right now, but she said it was protocol. 😡 😡 😡

Really, I have never had any trouble with the CA DMV. Of course, I've only been to there a total of 4 times (took the written test twice and took the behind the wheel test twice) wasn't bad at all. Of course, this was like 9 years ago lol

I've been to the one in Oakland on Hegenberger and Fremont. Yeah, it was like 10-12 years ago for me too. :laugh:

Dang I feel like such a youngin'! I got my license only 5 years ago haha.

In other news, did some MAJOR personal statement work today. Went from a crappy half completed first draft to a readable completed second draft! Hopefully that gets done soon so I can trudge through the hell that is AMCAS and MCAT physics 😡

He's going to address my GPA and slightly downward trend, I'm going to reason it, without getting defensive.🙁 Need to fill out the pre interview questions. :scared:Must find an outfit. MUST find shoes that say "I'm professional" without saying "ohhhh haaaaiiii 😉" (yes, shoes DO talk that much 🙄).
 
I did a little switcharoo with my courses that I hope AMCAS approves. I had this god awful writing course, under biology, that I got a B in and another course that wasn't BCPM but it was all about evolution (got an A). I said the first was classified under english and the second under biological sciences, and I hope they give that to me! It would raise my science gpa by almost .1!

Maggi = 😍 oh my gosh it is SO GOOD!

good luck tomorrow! You'll do great. Choose short black heels, with the toe completely covered. I would avoid flats, those seem too casual IMO. Let us know how it goes!

Is anybody else having a problem trying to stay up while they're MCAT studying? It seems to be happening a lot more often now and its totally throwing me off my schedule. Why does this seem to be getting harder the closer it gets to my test day?
 
I always fall asleep whenever I read or study past 10, so it's not just you!

that used to be my prime study time too, now its more like 8-12 with involuntary nap breaks interspersed in there 🙄

haven't even got to the OChem content studying yet. My last full length had like a 3 sentence passage on SN1-SN2 reactions and I immediately proceeded to :boom:
 
just got back into study mode today, all the PE i had last night was lost to friction today studying.....my prime study time oddly is in the morning 9-12 and night 8-10......even my VR passages sucked today, oh well not sweating it.
 
Grrr... Haven't worked on my PS at all!!! I have a Thank you letter to send in tmrw which I haven't even started!! I so hate this! Oh, and I'm still waiting on my school to make this semsters grade available on transcript!

New member, applying this cycle. I'm in the process of filling out TMDSAS & I still need to: finish up my personal statement, finish up the optional essays, send out my transcripts/MCAT score (I know this should already be done), get the LOR's in, send out the secondaries... where is everyone in their application process & anyone else feel overwhelmed?

Blaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh I need a massage for my birthday. My neck tenses up way too much, especially when I'm stressed.

Got a good amount of G-Chem studying done tonight, all thanks to 5 hour energy. That stuff actually works.

Now I have to figure out how i'm going to rewrite my PS, finally talk to the profs I want to write my LOR, get my 4 transcripts, and actually figure out how to put in all my crap in AMCAS, then I can relax. Oh wait, there's still that MCAT thing. Sometimes its hard not to feel overwhelmed.🙄

Thanks! I'm channeling my energy towards applying to all the Texas Schools by the end of May, so luckily I only have to worry about 4 secondaries in the next 2 weeks. Haven't decided if I'll apply out of state..

Good luck to everyone still studying for the MCAT, I couldn't imagine studying for that anymore (4+ months, definitely done with that):luck:
