A word to the wise: When centrifuging microhematocrit tubes, remember to replace the lid before turning on the equipment.

Of course! Haha, I centrifuge every day!! Also you need to remember to use all of the buckets (if yours has buckets). If you dont it can warp the rotor over time and cause equally damaging scenarios.

Also...fun fact about centrifugation. Often times the machines are built to expect a degree of unbalance, which is measured by the tilt of the rotor at it's equilibrium. If the machine sees a tilt of zero degrees, it "imbalances" because it assumes the sensor is malfunctioning. It happens now and then when I use one of our machines.

Ways berries can mess up--
--Dilute BSA with np water instead of buffer
--Weigh out .2706 g instead of .2076 g on CaCl2.
--Almost start the centrifuge without the cover.
--Attempt to blank the spectro. with buffer+BSA, instead of just buffer.
--Drop **** like there's no tomorrow.
