Class of 2016!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Some of the pictures are kinda small, so I could see how it might be a little frustrating. I need to get me some colored pencils though.

Good good. 😀 Same here. It kind of makes me uncomfortable when I hear about people doing amphetamines to study. Like, is it really that hard to do it on your own?

I am wondering what my schedule is going to be like when I don't have to work anymore. I have always worked while going to school, so this might be weird for me.

TMS... plain old coffee over here!

Anatomy coloring book!!!

TOP!

I had to color these for an undergrad anatomy class, a lot less fun then when I was five.

 Do you think it helped?

Yeah I would say slightly, they were used as part of a pre-lab, so it exposed me to the location and name of the muscle or bones before digging in. But, they just get frustrating because it was school work not leisure and coloring all the muscles got very tedious.

Well for the people that the medication was designed for... it is hard for them to do it on their own.

Amphetamines do not and I repeat DO NOT increase your intelligence capabilities.

Rather, they allow you to make full use of your intellectual abilities. Wouldn't it be nice to study without have to succumb to distractions?

Isn't that what fish oil is for? :meanie:

It would be nice to study and then remember what I studied. 👍

Well, yes, but if you have ADD or ADHD and were prescribed amphetamines by your doctor, you have an psychological obstacle that medications will help you overcome. If you're just doing it because it helps you focus, I think there's more room for you to individually work on your weaknesses. I know I am horrible about distractions, but it's something I need to improve myself, not something I want to take medication for.

Piracetam works well for this!

(Yes, I get an erection thinking about neuropharmacology)

I'm such a nerd, I love this stuff.

Fish oil works well apparently, but any nootropic is dependent on the user.

Have you tried it?

What really worked was doing my own sketches instead.

You also never know when technology will fail you and your powerpoint presentation becomes a chalk talk of BPH.

YAY PENIS

I'm off... have a great weekend everyone! (I will be checking in off and on, don't worry 😉)

That's cuz you're dirty dirty dirty. JUUUUUST like the rest of us.

😉

On a different note, I can't help but wonder if someone from your first interview day showed up at my interview today. We were doing bus tours of the medical center and I couldn't hear our tour guide very well because someone behind me kept blabbing about his upcoming Mayo interview, how awesome the Rochester area is, how highly ranked Mayo is, how he'll withdraw all his other applications as soon as he gets his acceptance to Mayo. Then after he finished talking about Mayo, he mentioned some of the other upper-tier schools he applied to and how he's sure he'll get a full scholarship to go to med school. Ughhh, so annoying...

How did it go, other than the weird guy?

Wait, I'm going to go check what school it was...

Edit: TOP! 🙂

Haha, yeah my school list is on the group FB page. The interviews were very easy-going and the tours were absolutely amazing. We got to see an open-heart surgery from the observation deck, and we saw the helicopter pad too! It was so beautiful to see the city's downtown area from the rooftop. My only complaint about the entire day was the guy sitting behind me on the bus .
