haha no worries, it IS confusing! I live in Chicago, go to school somewhere 7 hours away, and the bf lives in Texas! I get around the country 😀

And no kidding, I already had a family member put away most of my stuff, but then had to lug a 70 pound and 40 pound suitcase on the bus 🙁Nothing can beat home though! The food is so good :laugh:

I completely agree, i can never for the life of me get any productive studying done on this day. Going to try and get something done once the Celtics game is over, maybe.

Tried to do work after the game...ended up listening to music/learning new songs for piano. I'll take it.

I hear ya...just restarted my MCAT studying today....its gonna be a long summer ahead. 👎bang:

I know this kind of sounds sad, but filling out the AMCAS is my MCAT study break 🙁

Gosh I remember ten years ago I could go out til like 2 am and then be back at the library doing math homework by 8 am. 🙁

Ok enough depressing talk. It's GORGEOUS out today and I can't wait to do some Tough Mudder training with my friend later this afternoon!

I just started BR physics and gchem....are the BR tests that bad? I already did all of the AAMC tests and have been told those are the next best.

Should probably send in that order form haha

Lucky. Morning sessions suck big time.

On a different note: Lakers will probably lose to the Mavs. Can't say that I'm not shocked. Thought they were going to be in the finals. All I know is that tomorrow, the people of LA are going to be pissed. :meanie:

I chopped up some vegi's and threw them in tin foil with olive oil, checking results in ten minutes. :scared:
 
When do interviews start? August? I can't wait for that. I've been dreaming of med school interviews for years...

Same here, there's just so many concepts and I'm still going over mechanics (which sucked just as hard during my actual class). Too bad I won't have the pleasure of one page of notes during the MCAT like I did during physics 🙄
I chose the morning session only because I want to get that thing over with, plus I'm planning an epic Vegas weekend and want to get started on that double time.

never grilled any vegetables, but I do grill a good hotdog and burger 😀

You do MCATquestionaday too? Awesome, some of those questions seem a bit too simple though, either their way easy or maybe my studying is actually starting to go somewhere.

Seriously, I've been telling myself that if I can get to an interview, I know I'll get in somewhere. I'm just so hung up on my GPA that I don't know if I'm going to get there, even with a MCAT score in the 90+ percentile (which is definitely going to happen, of course 😀 )

Hi all! I was around SDN a little bit while applying to grad schools last year but have been creeping around a lot more as the 2012 med school cycle got closer. I'm excited to finally be posting in a 2016 thread! Wish you all the best in finishing up finals, MCAT, personal statements etc!

Hey thanks! I'll be honest - I'm not as high as I need to be, but I'm higher than what I was last year - and I'm happy about that.

I'm applying to my state school, and the MCAT isn't AS important as other factors, so I am hoping that the score I think I'll end up with is high enough to get an interview. I just really don't want to have to take this damn thing again!

Exact. Same. Situation 🙂 90th percentile MCAT is ~33 so it's certainly doable.
 
Just applied for FAP. Now have to wait before submitting primary application. should have done sooner but school got in the way....uhhhhhh👎

I applied for FAP today too!

...and was promptly denied. I'm so barely above the income requirements!

Back in sunny Florida requesting transcripts and whatnot. Don't you guys love bureaucratic crap? "No, you can't do that directly from here, you need to write a letter requesting it, fax it across town, wait for verification, then jump through three flaming rings of fire into a pit of vipers. Only then can you return and submit a formal transcript request with that cover sheet attached"

It took me way too long to get the proper stuff printed out, then one school doesn't take Visa cc so I had to pay by check, and then this school wants this blahblahblah gaaaaaaahhhhhh

Don't forget that they also want you to make a full wardrobe out of viper skin for every member of the registrar office. :bang:

My school only accepts check or money order. What kind of college student has a checkbook? I had to track down my mom to write me a $4 check... :laugh:
 
Why did I take such a crazy route to getting my degree, this transcript requesting thing is costing my money that I don't want to spend.

I know right?! I killed this viper yesterday to make a sleeve and the cops pulled up to give me a ticket and said that specific species of viper is endangered and protected.. I'm like EFFF ME!! Everything's protected except pre-meds.
