Good luck to everyone taking the MCAT tomorrow! you will know you did atleast alright if you come out of the test and dont really remember the questions, lol, atleast for me, because it basically meant that nothing caught me off guard or really hung me up

On another note, all transcripts are in...🙂. LORs are holding me up though. Anyone else having a problem getting these people to turn them in on time?

Ugghhh I feel ya... I have two LOR writers that still haven't finished them and they agreed to do them in February (so they've had quite a bit of time). One told me she would have it before June (she's leaving on vacation) and the other one I have not heard anything from. Worst case scenario, I'm hoping I can use my PI's letter for science since I did it for credit...? 🙁

👍 Nice. Would you believe that I have to wait 3-4 weeks after I submit my AMCAS app for my school's committee to release my letters to VirtualEvals? Awful.

Also, good luck 5/21ers, although you are maybe done at this point.

Oh wow that REALLY sucks. I guess I don't have it that bad then. Mine should be in by early July. Why the hell does it take them that long?

idk there are only 3 committee reviews (June, September, and October) depending on when you take your MCAT...I don't understand why the committee can't be rolling..This time of the year is the most important for them.

Yea that's unreal. My committee only has one review (May). Took my MCAT 4/16, scores back 5/17.

That sucks though! Do they need your MCAT for it? What if someone is taking it in the summer in which they're applying?

My committee doesn't require it, but they should have it now. They did their meetings shortly after I received my scores, and I told my advisor the score, so they should know about it.

While my situation does suck a little bit, YouNever's is much worse- September?! Wtf.
 
The committee at my school says it takes so long because they wait until they receive confirmation from AMCAS that you've applied before they even start writing the actual letter and because they have so many of them to write. They won't start writing them earlier in case people change their minds and don't apply after going through the committee letter process.

Yea- I just hope I made the right decision in going with the committee at the price of time. I think I did, but who knows.
 
Went to cafe laguardia for some cuban food last night. So good, but man I need to go back and order the paella one of these days. PAELLLLLLAAAAAA!!!

Birthday week is now over. Back to boring, bland food from home. 🙁

:hello: I was coming on here to report the birth of out school specific thread, but bookfreak beat me to it 🙁
Nonetheless, I'm extremely excited!

I don't know how MCAT went down, had an okay feeling, but I've gotten a 24 on a practice test after having a good feeling (yeah, stupid mistakes.)
I'm debating if I should start restudying.

But, now that this is done for a month, I need to start concentrating in school again -_- damn.

It was nice in socal today. Went to the national history museum and science center 🙂

Can I just be a doctor already? man, app process.

SO, my bro just said Bulls are playing Miami right now. HATE miami, bro loves them (sibling rivalry) so bulls it is! Now that the lakers are out 🙁 I need a new team 😳

ahhh good luck! and I'm positive the MCAT went great! I definitely remember the ochem days (here we take it soph year). Definitely don't miss it. Thank god our final wasn't cumulative, and it was 99% the same as a test he gave the year prior.

Same. I hate the Heat. The Bulls keep missing so many rebounds and field goals, not to mention fouling every other second. First time they will have lost two consecutive games since early Feb. Such a disappointment.

Btw, did I mention that I hate the Heat?

Haha I hate them so much too. It's border-line Cubs hate, which is scary because that's a lifetime of hate 🙂.

The Bulls will win game 4. They never lost three games in a row all year.

You never know how it will turn out. Many people come out of the test feeling that they barely pulled a 25, but then turn out to get 30+. I'm sure you did fine. 👍

Sorry it took so long to answer this - but I have no idea! I always feel clueless on these types of tests, but I am really hoping I end up getting what I was on my practice tests.

Taking a break mcat studying,doesn't it frustrate you that more than half the stuff you study won't even show up from each subject?

On a side note, starting to slightly worry about being such an "average" applicant. My ECs are below average-average as well (or at least that's what people are telling me based on this thread- http://forums.studentdoctor.net/showthread.php?t=823792 )
