Kansas? That's a pretty random place to apply to. Any particular motivations?
 
One of the top schools for Hispanic Students. Big outreach into the community. Did a summer scholars program at KU Medical one summer. Basically told to apply since i was hispanic and went through the program.

Weird, never heard of that.

Kansas seems like a strange place for Hispanic students to congregate, but I guess I must not be too familiar with the demographics of the area. :laugh:
 
They are really really big on diversity. They have a huge department for Minority Outreach. They have a Pre Admissions Program where if you complete 5 weeks there you are guaranteed an interview. Its mainly for URM so go figure. I got called for it in May, but I had already accepted a research job. Oh well.

Wow, that's pretty cool. Hopefully in the secondary I can make myself sound unique since I'm not URM :laugh:

Yeah, I'm really glad it's not raining. Damn, I just looked at the forecast and we've got a 30-40% chance of thunderstorms Sat, Sun, and Mon 🙁

Thunderstorms are fine! Those are SEXY. I love a good thunderstorm. I have a white noise app on my mac, it's on the thunderstorm setting riggggght now.

However... I need let out some frustration. MY EFFIN AIR CONDITIONING JUST KICKED OFF!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!!!! GONNA HAVE NO AC UNTIL TUESDAY!

Ok I'm done being a spoiled rotten first world country brat now. But uhhh.

Exactly, I wouldn't consider it "homework."

That sucks. It's awfully hot outside, that would be miserable.

last day til i go to my adventures in vegas...

probably gonna go to the zoo in this beautiful weather in san diego 🙂

then i'm gonna start my first draft for this UCSD secondary.

Not fair 🙁 We're at 91 degrees and 50% humidity. You walk out the door and it literally feels like a sauna. A sauna of death.
