If you go to med school in Canada, it will be difficult to match back into the U.S. if you decided that you wanted to practice here.

Chances are I won't get in. But McGill is my Harvard in Canada.

But, no you are not correct about it being difficult to match back into the US from a Canadian medical school. People do it ALL the time. It's just that no one really wants to come down here from Canada.

Out of the 10% of Canadians that apply to American med schools, a fair chunk of those people will be accepted... lets say 100 people are accepted for arguments sake. But, at the end of the day, only 4 or 5 will matriculate to a US institution. They use the USA as a back up.

We are their Caribbean. It's quite interesting. The dynamic up there is VERY different. Doctors getting sued? NOT COMMONPLACE!

Those places are THE BOMB. I love the west coast in general, but cities like Montreal? Can't beat 'em. They're really awesome. Montreal smoked meat, I get to use my French, anddddd bars stay open till at least 5am.
