I've had great experiences with the med students at my job. They are there to learn, not to impress the attendings. It's way more important that the intern/resident know what they're talking about because they're the ones writing orders.

Surprising amount have MD/MS programs with the MS in bioengineering. Or with good MD/PhD research opportunities. Im picky when it comes to research. In texas, I only applied to one PhD program and that was TCOM.

WYS:Texas Schools
CodeBlue: Tulane
BWSTW: Kansas
kautionwirez: UCSD, Vermont,Creighton(I think?)

You and WYS are for sure gonna end up at the same school potentially. Especially within Texas.

Tulane/Northwestern... those are my two OOS top choices... besides Harvard obviously.

If I got into Harvard... I'd actually just lose my ****

I'm applying there too. But i was like if i hear something ill be great. if not , no biggies. OOS wise i would love creighton,Tulane, or UCSD

If I get into Mizzou I'll probably go here just because it's cheaper than going private/OOS. Otherwise, I would love to go to Creighton.

Harvard has been my father's dream for the longest time ever... neither of my bros went. He's the hardworking french-man type. Drinks wine and smokes a carton a week. Wants to be able to say his kid got into Harvard. However, the more I read about HMS... the less enthused I get. I'd be much happier at Wayne State. Right here in my own backyard.

Yea I would love to stay in state. If i had to choose an end all end all school to end up with I would be super content with either A&M,UT-Southwest,UTHouston,Baylor, or UT San Antonio. As you can see i want to stay home. But if i end up out state by some chance of god, bring it.

Is it bad that I didn't follow through with my Harvard app because they wanted letters of rec from all of one's PIs?

Yeah, but at least in Texas you have many schools to choose from. I have one public in-state medical school (actually, there's UMKC too, but I'm not really considering it).

It's an application separate from amcas, and their classes start in January. If I were not accepted this cycle I would apply there.

Yeah, it's in columbia. There's 2 other main colleges in columbia (Columbia College and Stephens College, but they're small private universities).
 
What are the other missouri medical schools?
