YES! I've had my black macbook for almost 4 years and it still works so well. I'm excited to get a new computer (hopefully a Pro) once I graduate and head to med school though. As long as the med school I'm at (assuming I'm actually heading to one!) doesn't have specific computer requirements..

Since alot of their class lecture notes are power point, the students use their given comps to write notes for the slides

That's so cool... i would love to be able to take hand written notes, but have them be digital. Maybe I could grab some software that can scan it and convert it to actual digital text as well...
