WARNING : Harry Potter Splurge ahead. Do not read if you live under a rock and have not seen the most recent movie.
I just saw it. Oh my god.
Two moments where I sobbed like a little girl.
When they did the flashback, when Harry was watching Snape's memories, that was incredible. In the flashback when Dumbledore and Younger Snape are talking about Lily's death, and Alan Rickman leans against the wall and hunches over, you can see the pain and despair and everything just in his posture and his face. And then when he is holding her body and it looks like he is screaming in agony - just jaw-droppingly awesome and heart-wrenching and I sobbed.
Then, when Harry is talking to the reflection of his parents with the Resurrection Stone, and he asks if death hurts. This was Daniel Radcliffe's best moment in perhaps the entire series. I actually believed him, that he was marching off to his death and sought just a moment of comfort from his long-dead parents.
And of course, I shed a few tears when Snape died (why, oh why Rowling? He's the most interesting and complex character EVER and he has to die?) and when he says, 'you have your mother's eyes,' and that's the only kind thing he's ever said to Harry's face.
God I love Alan Rickman.
Okay, Harry Potter splurge over. Continue your regularly scheduled pad posting and spamming.
