But, just to re-affirm how much I hate lawyers... we talked about malpractice in France and how it is almost non-existent due to the system.

I worked for a law firm for about a year and hated it. There's very little law in the legal field. Just a lot of paperwork, meetings, conferences, blah. And the chance that you'll actually do litigation is very small. Most lawyers never see the courtroom.

My area of law was also particularly boring, it was a corporate firm that represented big insurance companies. The only useful thing I learned was that if you ever have a complaint against a company, DO NOT join the class action lawsuit. Get your own attorney and settle.

JJ's is awesome... and they deliver! 😍😍

I was a paralegal for a short time and this is what turned me off from going to law school.

Class action law suits will not bear fruit. You are so right about this. Class action attorneys MAKE BANK though. Because they get a huge percentage of overall damages awarded.

And law is very little litigation, so true. I know some lawyers that haven't been to court in like 8 years.

one of the doctors i used to work with actually started off as a lawyer, he went to georgetown for law school and was going to be a corporate lawyer. Then decided he wanted to be a doctor instead.
