Class of 2016!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
They seized 49 pairs of shoes from the kid, no way any college kid can afford or needs 49 pairs of shoes.

Well, figures my first trip to the doctor in 2 years would be an emergency room visit

Hope you're ok and hope the visit wasn't because of a half-eaten plum. 😛

so.... how's class going for the school peeps?

My chemical engineering classes are going to suck. But general microbiology + lab is going to be easy since it's a low level course and I learned it from studying for the MCAT.

Kinda bummed, when CB gets drunk he gets a space between his name and ends up getting banned, when I get drunked wayyyyyyyyyyyy worse things happn.

I hope it's nothing too bad. Please keep us posted if you don't mind.

Good. Getting ready for another interview tomorrow 😎

You got this! 👍:luck:

Preliminarily rejected at Nebraska today, but will appeal because of state ties.

Seriously though the new campus for A&M, curriculum and schedule is really nice. It surprised a lot of people.

We don't have any Maryland residents in our little cohort, but if we did, I'd be jelly of your state ties

Hm, maybe I should turn in that secondary...

today had like 11 UT people and 4 A&M people. rest where w/e. The UT people really liked it. Its a nice new campus. And its expanding every year. Soon they'll get up their Dallas campus up, but rotations in Austin, Corpus, Dallas, TEmple, Bryan, and Houston is amazing

So does everyone attend class in CS and then move to other sites for clinical rotations, or is it split between CS/Temple?

Appeal. If little ole me from Texas with some NE connections can go, Ms. Corn should be able to

That might actually be the nicest thing you've ever said to me.

Uh oh, being surrounded by freshmen brimming with hopes and dreams might have chipped away a bit at my bad-boy persona.

Redact! Redact!

Is it some type of lottery system where some people get sent to Temple and some get sent to CS after you've been accepted, or do you indicate your preference and then get sorted based on that?

I don't know if I could watch mediocre football for two years, let alone four. :meanie:

This past year has been trying enough. 🙁

Hahaha. I like the nickname. Did you only write about state ties, or did you include other things (hardship, diversity, etc.)?

So I thought I was dying... turns out I'm perfectly healthy and have just been reading too many PubMed articles. Not wanting to make an ass of myself and/or annoy the physician to no end by offering a self-diagnosis, I simply presented with faintness of breath and a severe leg cramp with numbness in my toes. Seeing that I work at the med school, he looks up, grins good-naturedly, and says "you think you have a blood clot, don't you? You don't. Your blood oxygen is 100%. You have the opposite of a problem." I hang my head, and that was that.
