I felt like such a goon. I was just waiting for a guy with a fork sticking in his eyeball to come in and see me occupying the last bed in the ER wing, playing angry birds on my phone.

Hahahaha. The other night I thought I had a pulmonary embolism... I was freaking out a little bit.

That's what I thought was gonna happen... Damn, I've lost all credibility. If I have a heart attack tomorrow, I'll probably just curl up and listen to some Enya.

Because I'm insured, I'm actually one of the few patients who probably paid the fees necessary to keep the hospital running.

OMG So am I. I'm always quick to go straight to the worst case scenario for something weird happening to me. I remember in high school i had intense stomach pain for like the whole day, I thought it was appendicitis. It turned out to be gas, ish hurt like a mofo though, couldn't believe it was only gas (went to hospital and had x-ray taken).

Now that I think about it, I've never actually been to the ER as a patient.

When I thought I had a pulmonary embolism, I was really afraid that I'd have to go wake my parents up to take me there :laugh: Though I'd really like to know what those stabbing chest pains where when I inhaled...

Intercostal spasms can cause that. Also, a twisted rib that can work itself out in your sleep🙂

Oh no, I've been to the ER a total of 3 times as far as I know. Twice as a kid when I ended up needing stitches (first time was like a traumatic experience really, fell down a tree scratched my head, didn't really notice anything or feel any pain untill all the blood started gushing down my face). Those head wounds are so much more traumatic than they should be. 🙄
