our research project was ambitious and it was just me and her. There was not much that I could do by myself given the nature of starting a whole new project. I should've joined her already established project but the thought of starting something new excited me. Was a bit overwhelmed by what it actually entailed though. Still managed to get some funding, get results, and present findings. There were hiccups along the way, I guess they proved to be too much I guess🙁
 
I haven't responded back to her since her response, don't really know what to say to be honest.

Did you ever have her in class? If so, and if you believe she may have misunderstood and been under the impression you were seeking validation of your research abilities, inform her that your primary objective is to be a practicing physician, and to that end would she be able to comment favorably upon your character and your academic performance?

You think she'd give you some credit for joining an entirely new project.
 
I find it somewhat disappointing and irresponsible of her not to sit down with you and discuss perceived areas for improvement. If it was more than just the newness of the undertaking, she really should have communicated better.

That's what I'm thinking, I did have her for a class (human physiology no less) . I think if I worded my proposition for a letter more like what you said, it could prove more hopeful. I'll have to try on Monday of course.

Are you talking about during my time with her during research? I guess so, but she was very busy with teaching and all. Plus she doesn't have her own lab room we had to borrow another professors lab, there was a lot of stuff going on that kept us from having long convos like that, still was hoping for more feedback.

This all is just so bad, she was my big academic (science wise) EC in college, her letter was supposed to have the most weight, now I'm just kinda stuck. This sucks big hairy donkey balls 🙁🙁🙁

Power was out.

Went to my aunt's.

My cousins and I went coning, napkinging, and souping. Oh lord!

napkining--impromptu decision to go to Tommy's and order a drink. Get excited/ask for a TON of napkins.

i dont find coning amusing at all. in fact i dont find any of those fads amusing except for owling. and that's only because when i was little i had a cabinet in the wall of my bedroom and i would totally climb up in there and owl. I was the original owler.

Somewhere in this thread that question was answered, at some point. Good luck finding it. If I recall, someone found the thread starter posting under a new name, I think.

On another note, WASSUP 2016??!

I haven't been around much, I was on vacation and then have been working crazy hours to get ahead/make up time for interviews and a wedding I have to go to.

School is for people who do not already possess complete knowledge. It's a shame I'll still be required to sit through all those medical school lectures.
