So I was sitting in biochem lecture today and I had an epiphany. I was crunching some numbers on enzyme kinetics and I remembered Catalystik's sig "whether you think that you can or that you cant, youre usually right" and I thought to myself "that quote could not be more appropriate if she tried."
Substrate = pre-med on SDN
Product = med school matriculant
Activation energy = application process
Enzyme = Catalystik
In other words, Catalystik doesn't change your stats or ECs, nor can she force you to improve either of those two attributes. Therefore, she doesn't affect the spontaneity of a given applicant successfully obtaining an acceptance. She can, however, lower the activation energy of the application process by elucidating important factors and making the process less cryptic, and thus stabilizing the reaction intermediate (neurotic mid-application-cycle pre-med).
...and that's where babies come from. 😀
