I think phnerd meant that schools have been too busy making/giving Oct 15 or 17th decisions to send out interview invites. I was also hoping that as soon as the first round of acceptances was out, more interview invites would get sent out. I'm sure we'll hear soon!

I hate when people say this.

Also, I doubt many people are going to withdraw at this point in time. I'm more concerned about the interviews schools are still waiting to give out, rather than people withdrawing.

Agreed, there's no incentive to. I feel your pain though, it sucks being pre-med in IL. Several schools, most private with no in state preference. And then even our major state school only interviews 1/3 of us....sigh...

Feinberg-no shot
Pritzker-no shot
SIU-screened out, not from southern IL
Loyola-averages MCAT, decreases my chances

Leaves UIC, Rush and RFU only....and only one is a state school that goes by MCAT ranking first 🙁

Wow. That sucks. I didn't realize it was that bad.
Makes me thankful that I live in this crappy state. It may be boring, but I don't mind.

phnerd (it's so hard not to call you by your real name btw :laugh: ) I hate that so many schools seem to be putting interviews on hold because of acceptances. I suppose I wouldn't hate it if I'd applied earlier, but I just keep on reading in the school-specific threads about acceptances/rejections and not a word about interview invites.

:laugh: I always try to channel April Ludgate when I need to contain my emotions and show none of them.... it's why i'm so lively and colorful.

:laugh: I always have to proofread all of my posts just to make sure I didn't say anyone's name.

And agreed, I don't think very many people have received invites in the past 2-3 weeks. I hope they pick up soon though :xf:It also doesn't help that I'm an impatient person who doesn't like to wait for anything. 🙁

Yep, I've gotten nothing since like the 3rd. And all those threads saying OH 80% OF INVITES HAVE GONE OUT aren't helping either. 😡

Last year I had an interview in January and one in March. Protip: find out what schools like updates and then DO IT.
 
congrats fellow 2016ers, I'm glad to be able to say that I'll be joining you all! Probably not in the windy city though... Plus I'll be a trojan, which (if you know nothing about history) could also be considered a funny mascot
 
Everyone must be jealous that I got top...you'll get used to it, folks :laugh:
