I can't stand people that are close-minded. Especially people who deny a woman her reproductive rights... I mean as a guy, I'd support the decision my significant other would make. If I wanted to keep the child, I would tell her that I would support her, no matter what her decision, but I'd like to keep the child and work it out with her. Not necessarily get married or anything... but obviously agree to man up and provide for the child.

I have a really good argument in the pro-choice realm of things but I'm not going to whip it out because flatearth is posting in that thread and I LOVE most of the things he posts.

It's derp Thursday, apparently. I'm laughing at all the powertrips and backpedaling I've seen today. The amusement these egregious gaps in logic provide by far transcend that of the trolls and spammers earlier today.

Yeah, i'm just not getting involved. I'll watch and discuss in private, but why contribute to the issue? Wish Bacchus had made his point earlier.

Still I think the physician should be obligated to provide a referral to someone who can better counsel/perform the abortion...

Yeah, speaking with my friend who's a lawyer provides a lot of clarification and perspective on the sentiment of the courts right now.

Lesson of the day: physicians have as much autonomy as they want, so long as they're not afraid of lawsuits. and your success as a defendant will vary depending on where in the country you are.
