+1. I have two presentations, one at 7 AM and one at 7 PM, with lab in-between. I don't know how I'm going to get through the day with no sleep.

Hey you! On occasion. Not today though. Today, I'm just slicing and dicing some regular old melanomas.

On an unrelated note, looks like Narmer joined you in the asstmod dept. Are some older mods graduating or something? I feel like I'm watching the changing of the guard hahah

Oh I see. Sounds fun! I was a neuroscience major so I am somewhat familiar with the brains

Yup, Narmer was added yesterday! I think it has more to do with
1. Getting some new asst. mods trained and more confident for next cycle
2. The older mods are mostly med students so they get hammered sometimes or get busy with other things
But TBH asst. mods don't really have much input into who gets nominated so I am not privy to those discussions! I'm just guessing like you are

fun fun times. yeah i can't imagine doing med school and cracking the whip on here simultaneously. so much work!

I actually don't mind sectioning when the tissue is fresh / embedded well. The samples I was working with today were neither, unfortunately. looked like shredded meat 🙁 and then I went slower...and then my hands froze. 🙁🙁

I want cookies right now. Too much talk of them on fb makes me hungry.

Also, it's dark outside already. This isn't right. 🙁
