Ah, I was wondering what the "c" stood for... hrmmm... this is difficult... do I have to do one with each, and commit for all perpetuity, or can I implement some sort of rotation?

that.

a rotation would defeat the purpose of the exercise. 😛

Boooreeedommmmmmm

I'm bored with packing. I'm ready to make the drive! We'll be leaving exactly one week from today. It will be my first time in Mississippi and Louisiana. I figure everything will look pretty swampy and flat, with the exception of the hills of northern Florida (like in Tally). We're going to visit Florida Caverns!

Slowly counting down the minutes to 5PM....

Depends on what part of Louisiana you're in. Some parts yes, but if you go through New Orleans you'll see something more like this:

Minerva is an international student, from Greece I think.

Tideydogg lives in Golden Gate Park as a bum.

Megmurry is from a small town on Lake Michigan.

I, myself, am from Vermillion City.

Hope that helps.

Spot on

Haha. I think I can interpret most of that, except the last one simply rings a bell as something from Pokemon. Are you ash ketchum?

We're actually planning to stay overnight in New Orleans and explore a bit. Anything we must see/do in the very limited time we'll be there?

Jackson Square/Saint Louis Cathedral/Cafe du Monde in the French Quarter!!! I actually grew up in the suburbs and went to school uptown, so MT Headed probably knows the downtown area a lot better than me now 😛.

eat beignets (but not at cafe du monde, bc their beignets suck)
eat a lot of fried seafood, preferably soft shell crab
have a shrimp or oyster po boy
try a john besh resto
there's a lot of vietnamese food down thurr too worth trying
check out the wrought iron architecture and all the art / bookstores in french quarter
check out the debauchery on bourbon street
window shopping along royal and chartres
and the french market and farmers' market if they happen when you're there

MTH and two another 2016'ers can probably expand on this list much better than i can, but i won't out their locations / names for them. 😎

It's a hard knock life... but I make it work. Someone's gotta troll the tourists.

👍

my backup plan was to live in a box in GGP or central park. it would have been fun times.

alas, now i must go to medical school.

Yeah, I'd normally suggest this to everyone, but I dunno if Cinclus can eat those 🙁 Otherwise an awesome list 👍

lulz, i didn't catch this. twinsies 😍

clarification - i like CDM because it's such an institution with a tradition and history, but i feel like they rest on their laurels so that their beignets aren't the highlight of the visit. the powdered sugar was stale and the beignets were cold. fried stuff is always best right out of the fryer 🙂

cafe beignet is like 2 blocks away from there and has amaaaazing beignets. they make them fresh to order. so i'd grab a coffee or something and sit at CDM, but save the tummy room.

and as i finish writing this, i remember your gluten allergy and suddenly feel very stupid. 😳
