I'm trying to eat solid foods, but my mouth can't even open. I end up having to bite it into little pieces with my front teeth 🙁
 
For example...

I was at the pool today when a random woman waved at me. I proceeded to look around, make eye contact with her, and shrug my shoulders before pretending to dry myself off with a towel (never mind that there wasn't a drop of water on me at that point).

Man, this threads been super busy. Or maybe its because I haven't been on in a while. This postbac keeps me super busy, I almost missed my brother's birthday today

Well I've fully come to terms with not getting in this year, so I'm going to make the most of it by putting all my effort into this postbac. It's been pretty good so far. I can definitely tell how nurturing of an environment this is and the access to so many great people within the UCLA health system we are provided with.

I just hope you guys don't forget about me by the time I reapply next summer. I fully expect you guys to offer to host me should I interview at your schools 🙂
 
First day without bleeding, and the swelling is going down! 🙂

Trade off is that I have two huge ugly yellow bruises on the sides of my face. Le sigh

And it has begun! Although it's with the registrar not the dean, and I do have a full faculty member on my side, thank god. Otherwise I'd have been toast already.

I would host you!!! I hosted maybe six kids last year, I love doing it. Makes me feel like I am giving back.

do it with her. then trade off. and then complement her lots whenever SHE does it, and make really crappy food when it's your turn. and then start offering to do the dishes in return for the cooking.
