Class of 2016!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I wish we had them a bit more frequently, now that I think about it. There's going to be a buttload of info covered on that exam! But we have a cumulative in December, anyhow. It's going to be terrifying.

We have one every three-four weeks. I LOVE it. It seems just right, tests not too often and not too much stuff on any given exam.

This thought crossed my mind the other day. But then I remembered I could be at one of those schools that gives tests while classes are still going on, or one of those schools that gives a whole week of tests back-to-back (because they don't integrate their courses). Then I was like:

True, true. Thanks for the reminder! 🙂

every class feels like this. i can't wait for biochem though. at least i've seen that stuff before.
our current class is mind numbing. ugh.

I think the start of med school is kind of mind-numbing, in general. Except for the anatomy, it doesn't feel very "medical" yet. According to our upperclassmen, this should change in our second block once everyone's up to speed. 👍

I wish my school started with the biochem block before the anatomy block.
Trying to stay positive, but I have this ridiculous gut feeling that I'm going to hate anatomy.

When a nursing student tells me that they took "the same anatomy class" in undergrad "as medical students" because it was "in the same cadaver lab," so therefore, it was equally rigorous and difficult...

I just don't know how to respond.

And the reason that (with no prior nursing or healthcare training) they can get a RN, MSN, and FNP in TWO YEARS is that they "took all those courses that you have to take now in medical school in undergrad as prerequisites"...

Yeah, sure.

Tell them no. Someone has to put them in their place.

Yeah, sure.

For similar reasons, CRNAs are equivalent to anesthesiologists. They take the same classes, right?

:meanie:

Awww, for a second I was like "why are all these people in 2016 listed as medical students!?" And then I realized it was because you all are. I hate being a "pre-med." I like to call myself an "app cycle veteran."
