I got some funny looks when I pointed to a muscle and called it the "rhombus major."

I don't think my group likes me very much 🙁

Lol, on my first day I told my group "I wish each tank could get 4 scapulas."

My group looked at me funny.

Then I realized I said "scapula" when I totally meant "scalpel."

When we opened up the thoracic cavity, one of my friends pointed at something and asked, "Ooh, is this the spleen?"

It was the heart.

DOOOOOONE with our first exams! Awwwww, yeah. I want to thank BCM for the post-exam 4-day weekend. Heading to San Antonio with the bf tomorrow to do some exploring of the city and some hiking at the nearby Hill Country State Natural Area:

I wish I could do anatomy again. 🙁

I'm kind of surprised at how much I've been enjoying the subject (just not the smell). I'm very visual, so that's probably why it appeals to me. I think it's also because its our most clinically-applicable subject so far. No more biochem, please. I had enough of that in undergrad/grad school.

I also loved how easy it was to see how clinical applicable everything is. I hated biochem and genetics because of it.

Greetings from San Antonio! My feet hurt from a day of hiking and exploring. It's a good hurt. 🙂 Also, thanks to this post-exam break from school, my brain is feeling no pain.

I'm looking forward anatomy 😳. I feel like you either know the answer or you don't, unlike some genetics/biochem questions with which I've been presented. At least first year-and especially first course-grades aren't quite as important. 😎

It's pretty fun, and even if you don't know the answer, if you trace whatever you're looking at back to its origin, you can usually figure it out okay.
At least..for the lab practical.

Then again, you probably shouldn't listen to me. I got a 56 on my practice midterm aaaaaaanddd my exam is on Friday. :scared:

How are you ever going to get into medical school with grades like that!???

When the anatomy PowerPoint isn't posted the night before, I'm like 🙁, because I know that during the lecture I'm going to be like 😕. "WHAT ARE THESE WORDS?"

Without previewing, lectures don't do much for me.

Lectures don't do much for me regardless.... Unless the lecturer is really good

Dear University of Iowa,

Thank you for inviting me to apply to your MSTP program today.

Unfortunately I am preoccupied for the next hundred years.

Sincerely,

Nymph

Ross University somehow got my email address at some point, and they keep asking me to apply. I should inform them of my current situation, then block them.

I got that email too, and I was just thoroughly confused.

65 in Texas in September? Shouldn't it be apocalyptically hot down there?

I haven't been out enough to experience it, but it's been really gorgeous the past week in SE Texas. 😍

First exam tomorrow, and I can't sleep guys! I'm too excited to get this stupid week over with.

What, was it 83 degrees? :meanie:

Just kidding, had to take the rare chance to poke fun at california weather. Jokes on me, I still live in the midwest. :scared:

add 10 degrees more to that, and in some areas 20

it was stupid hot the past weekend. This week the weather is still pushing in the lower 90s
