I am all caught up in material!
We'll see how long this lasts...

Also, when did this become a smiley? I don't get it.
I guess exam week made me more disconnected than I thought![]()
I guess I'm the only one here that watches Adventure Time and knows that this is the Flame Princess
Wait, so technically doesn't that make the smiley copyrighted material?
Who invited you to the party?
ah, I hate the cold... anyone want to trade states for mine?
I'll take 5 and give you 7.
Anyone in here use BRS physio? Worth it to buy it?

Well, I've opened my Netters a grand total of 2 times this year. That was a waste of money.

Yeah, apparently you have larger than life cadavers, so no need for atlases?
My school uses Thieme atlas, which I bought in addition to Rohen's and Netter's. It was definitely overkill, I haven't really looked at Netter's either.
So this is how y'all have been whiling away the hours? The debut of Halo 4 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, which I purchased nary a week apart, has killed my productivity. I'm absorbing medical knowledge more passively and inefficiently than ever, which is saying something.
Everyone's worked completely through First Aid and qbank by now, right?

Practically everyone in my class has both books by Costanzo: her Phsyio book and her BRS book. No words can describe how much I owe Costanzo. She has been a lifesaver for the times when our lecturers were disorganized and convoluted beyond comprehension. The BRS book is fantastic at summarizing key points in a clear and concise manner, with practice questions at the end to help solidify your understanding of the material.
I think so.
It's basically just lots and lots of board style multiple choice physio questions with answers/explanations.

Who is this stranger and why is he posting on the class thread AT 4:54 A.M.
I am so jealous of you. I wanted to buy COD:BO2 so bad.... how is it compared to BO 1?
Also, I have a confession to make. 🙁 I'm not a medical student yet (will apply in future cycles), but I just love interacting with the medical students here. Somehow, when someone posted about the new emoticons, I had the urge to participate. I hope I won't be punished from this thread.
Anyhow, I will exile myself and go to a dark corner.

It's hard for me to say, as I've only logged a couple of hours of play time. My (admittedly novice) impressions thus far are that killstreaks are less of a factor; that everyone has access to better weapons from the get-go, leveling the playing field a bit (modern/futuristic weapons means no recoil unlike in blops 1); and that zombies is challenging and fun, with quite a few maps. I've yet to touch campaign mode, which I thought was pretty solid in the first game. One complaint I have is that aiming down the sights is excruciatingly slow, which forces you to remain stationary more than is comfortable for me. There's a perk to help remedy this, but it doesn't feel like it makes much difference. If you run around a corner and someone is squatting there, you're toast no matter how fast your reflexes are because it takes a half-second for you to draw your weapon. All in all, though, the game is pretty comparable to the first. I tend to prefer the modern warfare games slightly, but that's just a matter of style and not absolute quality.

As long as you are bumping up our post count and not spying on us for another class, you are welcome here anyday 😀

Thanks for that.
I only post on this class thread. Others are just...
Pretty cool when you, CuttingCorneas and Nymphicus (and others) are here.

Ah, thanks for telling me that, I think I am going to buy it.
I hate modern warfare, but it's more a matter of style for me, too. BO1 is my favorite game... ever. I only really play hardcore so I guess recoil was never a factor for me, but it sounds like the aiming down sights slowness is really going to enable campers. I really didn't like the rewards system in MW3 so I am hoping they stayed rather simplistic like they did in BO1.
Welp, after another few rounds of deathmatch, I have some more info to bring to light. I, too, was concerned about the ADS encouraging camping, but there is an attachment - a special grip - you can unlock for each weapon that accelerates aiming. Thus, this isn't as much of a problem as I'd expected.
The killstreak reward system is definitely more simplistic than in mw3, and as I suspected previously, killstreaks remain less of a factor. Actually, they're called "score streaks" now or something like that, because they are activated once you reach a certain point total, not a certain number of kills., Fortunately, the point thresholds are sufficiently high that I have yet to even see some of the higher level rewards be deployed, which I view as a good thing because nothing is more frustrating than being dropped into a game in which the other team has 5 choppers and a blackbird up.
One thing that's different now is that you can activate more than one perk in each of the 3 slots, but in order to do so, you have to sacrifice one scorestreak reward, a secondary weapon/grenade, or an attachment. That is to say, there's a finite number of slots in your total loadout, and your can have more or less of each "type" of item or skill depending on your preferences. For instance, I dropped my pistol and my second tactical grenade so I could have 4 totals perks and 2 weapons attachments.
You've thought more about this game than I've thought about my test tomorrow.
Good luck on your test! What's it on?
Embryo ... for whatever reason, my brain just doesn't care about the material.
Ob/Gyn is definitely not in my future.
Yep, I crossed off pediatric surgery because of embryo (not that I was really considering it beforehand anyway 😛)
Are you up to watch the pre-match acceptances and re-live the excitement of it all???
