Welp, after another few rounds of deathmatch, I have some more info to bring to light. I, too, was concerned about the ADS encouraging camping, but there is an attachment - a special grip - you can unlock for each weapon that accelerates aiming. Thus, this isn't as much of a problem as I'd expected.

The killstreak reward system is definitely more simplistic than in mw3, and as I suspected previously, killstreaks remain less of a factor. Actually, they're called "score streaks" now or something like that, because they are activated once you reach a certain point total, not a certain number of kills., Fortunately, the point thresholds are sufficiently high that I have yet to even see some of the higher level rewards be deployed, which I view as a good thing because nothing is more frustrating than being dropped into a game in which the other team has 5 choppers and a blackbird up.

One thing that's different now is that you can activate more than one perk in each of the 3 slots, but in order to do so, you have to sacrifice one scorestreak reward, a secondary weapon/grenade, or an attachment. That is to say, there's a finite number of slots in your total loadout, and your can have more or less of each "type" of item or skill depending on your preferences. For instance, I dropped my pistol and my second tactical grenade so I could have 4 totals perks and 2 weapons attachments.

You've thought more about this game than I've thought about my test tomorrow.

good luck WYS!!!

holy crap you guys were here i missed you!

Embryo ... for whatever reason, my brain just doesn't care about the material.

Ob/Gyn is definitely not in my future.

lol you don't need to <3 embryo to go into obgyn.

Yep, I crossed off pediatric surgery because of embryo (not that I was really considering it beforehand anyway 😛)

Are you up to watch the pre-match acceptances and re-live the excitement of it all???

haha, the guy who is interested in ped surg at my school is a total badass. he's kind of my hero.

Test is in the afternoon, so I don't really feel the usual pre-test panic setting in yet.

haha you'll be great!!!! :luck::xf:

WHY ARE WE LEARNING PHYSICS IN MED SCHOOL

I thought we were done with that 🙁

haha. i've looked at FA like 3 times. and closed it every time thinking, well damn, half of that hasn't been covered in this class...

What the hay is qbank

This sounds like my reaction when my tigermom gave me an MCAT book as a Christmas gift my freshman year of college. She'd ask me, have you started studying yet? And I'd tell her honestly, I can't because we haven't learned a lot of the stuff yet :meanie:

Lol, this is EXACTLY what a bunch of people in my class said when we were learning lung physiology: "I thought we wouldn't need Physics after the MCAT!"

If it doesn't go beyond 1st order derivatives, it's not really physics 😛

It was funny watching some of my classmates freak out at the prospect of doing ANY math, though (oh god multiplication!).

It's my nickname, coined by BMEN:

It caught on with the other SDN'ers in this thread, and WYS even called me that IRL when we met up at our first interview and over spring break

Did you seriously look up that post??! Mad props.

UH HUH

this.

i'm the only person in my group of study friends that doesn't have Costanzo the hard copy, and sometimes i wish i did, but i have it online so i read it that way. and i do all the questions in brs for every class. i'm also a big reader / question doer so i would probably err on the side of recommending books others won't.

But yeah, costanzo writes the physio questions for step 1, so it's probably a good idea to get her BRS book.

Well, shucks, I guess I need to buy it then.

Also, I know one of the actors from The Little Rascals. Be jealous.

I know, I know. But this morning he started in on Ohm's Law and I was like

Also, trying not flattering anyone, but along with minerva, cuttingcorneas, nymphicus, I also appreciate sector9, cinclus, MegMurry, and whatyousay (and others). You guys bring the life to the thread. 👍

Said the premed who created a thread to ask "how much harder does ochem I get over the semester?" after he got a 103 on his test 🙄

Minerva successfully summoned the :flame:. Her premed opponent was completely.... burned! Parkland's formula?
