I think I might need to take a break from SDN. I get too annoyed at pre-meds who think they're practically adcoms. :meanie:

Lolz, this is why I only check our class thread and my school-specific thread. Nothing else. Kudos to cinclus, nymphicus, sector9, saggy, and all the other mods who have the patience to sift through all the craziness on SDN pre-allo.

I just realized I was arguing with a troll (who is scrutinizing/questioning every single "flaw" he could find in med students' profiles when they tried to help 👎) :smack: I'm done with that forum except for 2016ers and the MedPR thread.

I got an Android phone for Xmas. It's a big step up from my other phones, which were basically just phones. I have a lot of stuff to learn about it still. I'm enjoying playing with the Epocrates and Medscape apps, though.

droids rock, I have been using one for almost two years now. I would rather give up a limb than my droid.

I have been thinking about buying a droid tablet for wards...

Good luck. I read somewhere that step 1 is mostly memorization... not sure if that's a good thing or not (most likely a bad thing though).

We had an optho session and had to dilate one eye. At least I have a legit excuse to not study! :meanie:

Sorry for asking a noob question, but is it possible to dilate one eye but constrict the other?

I don't see why not, although they would be by different means. Dilate one pupil with the drops and constrict the other by shining a light into it. The dilating drops relax the muscles that cause constriction, but I don't know to what extent, so shining the light into the undilated eye might slightly constrict the dilated pupil.

:wtf: dude what is your problem? being genuinely nice and friendly (except for stealing my cookies 😡) is not sucking up.

you were calling out me, NickNaylor, penguinism, and other medical students on that other thread, accusing us of giving false hope to pre-meds and essentially accusing us of lying about aspects of our applications. we had every right to be irritated, and Agent B, as our friend, was backing us up. just let it go.

Some people have the notion of me being a cheerleader. :shrug:... whatever perception you have for me really doesn't matter, but it's interesting that you think that I think that I'm a boss (a bit complicated 😳). 👎 I'm not supporting the 2017ers now 😡

The 2016 thread is actually the second largest thread in pre-allo. The aim is to beat the 2014ers.. which will take a while.
