I don't see why not, although they would be by different means. Dilate one pupil with the drops and constrict the other by shining a light into it. The dilating drops relax the muscles that cause constriction, but I don't know to what extent, so shining the light into the undilated eye might slightly constrict the dilated pupil.

we did that last year, it was a ton of fun. I like doing fundus exams.

It's also hilarious watching you suck up to other people on this forum. Don't know what that gets you, but hey, all the power to you bud! What's even funnier is that you're not even in medical school, yet you think you're a boss 🙄

Next time, think long and hard before you accuse someone of being a troll, someone who's been on here longer than you have.

this kid really followed people into here?? wtf?

Ugh, pink eye. Seems to be a common sickness in my line of work. Good thing I'm off today.

So I have this app called SelfControl which essentially blocks whatever websites I want for whatever amount of time I want. I block the usual time-sucks like FB, SDN, Tumblr...but today I found myself spending an hour cleaning and organizing my Gmail. FAIL. 🙁

the internet always has a way of getting you. There is no choice but to accept it.

Well that's no fun 🙁

tell me about, this one is much more painful than the last time I got it. But the last time I contracted it i was in the midst of MCAT studying. Scumbagbody.jpg

Why? Gmail has essentially unlimited space.

it's not about the space...i had over 2000 emails in my inbox and i just set up multiple inboxes with filters, deleted all the junk, and learned about archiving. i still have like 600 emails left, that'll be a weekend project 🙂 i just want it to be organized i guess

 All right then.

Hey, anything's better than cramming more patho into my head

Speaking of which, you're done! Now you can relax 😀

Yep. We started the pathology portion of the course last Wednesday, final exam on Friday.

And then a glorious weekend with ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to study for. :claps:

Whoops, I lied. 🙁 Go Ismet! Show your Ismet powers and wreck the exam!

Ugh, this eye medication sucks. Plus I'm gonna have to call out of work tomorrow cause I'm still infectious. FML

Just saw Dredd, there's practically nothing I love more than movies with gratuitous violence

Happy weekend to everybody. 🙂

I will spend the weekend consolidating the massive amounts of immunology that was thrown at us this past week. Oh, and sleep.

Abbas! We start immuno on Monday...:scared:

Our syllabus looks HUGE (haven't actually gotten it yet, still at the printer) and it's only ~3 weeks. Fun fun.

I have read half of the entire Abbas text since the start of this block. It's very readable. I find I'm enjoying the subject of immuno, but this week was very immuno-heavy, and it's been a real timesuck.

Sorry for being a noob, but most/all schools follow pharm in 2nd year, right?

Cinclus and I are doing pharm right now along with immuno, but we're at a school that compresses the basic sciences into 1.5 years.
