I am back to an apartment. Lived in dorms for my 1st and 3rd years. My apartment is uber small =( but super close. <1 min to class!

Nice! I'd prefer living in a nice apartment than my crappy dorm where I'll have to pay $4500 a semester 😡

My first year I paid ~10,000 for a dorm room(including food) for 3 quarters and second year my rent was about 650 a month for a 12 month lease. 3rd year dorm was free and I had 2 rooms and now I pay 580 a month to share a tiny room with someone else 😡

Thank you So Cal for being so expensive....

You know...it's funny that I have to pay like $12k a year for housing+meal plan...that's like double tuition. Housing>education
 
Bahahaha totally played Final Fantasy when I was in middle school. I think it's a very solid video game series. Best out there. Who needs shooting and sex when you've got emotion, storylines, and characters with wonky hair? 👍

Anyways, I'm taking AAMC 7 and today and expecting the worst. 🙁. Failure here I come!!! I embrace thee with open arms.

Here's a big tip I've found to be pretty effective on the MCAT!

Maybe you all already do this but...

When you've used PoE to narrow a question down to two possible answer choices, rather than trying to think of examples that verify one answer over another, think of examples that might falsify your two answer choices. If you think about it, this is a much more scientific approach to picking the right answer choice.
I realized that when I was trying to figure out how one answer choice was better than another, if I was trying to think of examples that would support one answer choice over another, it often applied to both answer choices and/or I could just as easily think of an example that supported the other answer. As you can see, this still left me with a 50/50 shot at getting the question correct as well as lots of wasted time.

It sounds really obvious but sometimes it's easy to get caught up in the test environment/time limit. Hopefully this will help some of you!

Haha update: Just finished PS. I think I absolutely bombed it, it was going fine and then I had 2 minutes for the entire last passage. Wtf? Whyyyyy. Loved that it was kinetics-heavy, though.

Hopefully the rest of this goes better! 😳

Hmmmm verbal was interesting... I ran out of time on the last passage, but it was thankfully the shortest one out of the seven so I managed to finish it (hahaha 3 1/2 minute-passage, baby!). Definitely some interesting reads in there, but I have no idea how I did. I never expected fiction to come up on the MCAT...

Time to write these darn essays!

I don't want to go to the dentist and I don't want to study for MCAT stuff. Maybe I should lock myself in my room and refuse to come out and sleep all day. 😴
